Stay ADK offers large and luxuriously furnished homes in the heart of New York's Adirondack Mountains. The beginning... If we buy it, they will come! We purchased our first house many years ago with the intention of drawing everyone in our big, modern, family together. And so they did, and do! Our children & grandchildren, sisters & brothers, parents, friends and friends-of-friends... you need a Venn Diagram, family tree, and a few high school yearbooks to properly explain the fun that has been had. We started with the purchase of our classic 1905 "grand dame", steeped in Lake Placid Olympic history and conveniently located a half block off Main Street. Aptly named Mirror Lake Manor, it is three floors of meandering rooms connected by a formidable staircase, filled with beautiful, dark wood, and fully furnished for your comfort, yet firmly connected to the spirit of the Manor's magnificence. The recently restored front verandah overlooking Main Street, Mirror Lake, and the mountains is incomparable. Immediately following, was the purchase of the elegant and sprawling Casa Blanca, where sunlight and mountain views bounce off the reflection of the custom designed chandelier dripping in crystals, and the cool breeze carries the laughter from one wing of the house to the other. It was love at first sight and Casa Blanca became our family compound where the chef's kitchen is filled with food, kids, cooking and lots and lots of eating. The hot tub never stays empty for long, and like out of a movie, baseball games get serious on the front lawn and the night's bonfire is always the topic of discussion. We continued to enjoy all the activities, events, shops and restaurants in and around Lake Placid, but sometimes we would be content to sit, chat and relax. The constant, though, was our continued interest in Lake Placidβs beautiful surroundings and the desire to share it with other people which fueled the creation of Rent Lake Placid, LLC, now called βStay ADKβ to commemorate our collaboration with Coldwell Banker Whitbeck. We invite you to our home(s), each Lake Placid perfect, to enjoy Lake Placid life, and make memories! Arrowhead Lodge is the epitome of Lake Placid perfect, through and through. A classic created for modern living. It has three floors of living, an open floor plan, generous rooms and an abundance of natural light that pours through the wall of windows and highlights the vaulted ceilings and classic Adirondack architecture. Azure Lodge remains a family favorite, and continues to bring guests back to Lake Placid. Azure is large, comfortable, and conveniently located a short walk to town, and includes private beach access. S. Claus Lodge is our newest addition, steeped in legacy Lake Placid tradition, and North Pole magic. We named it Claus Lodge for a reason! Last, but certainly not least... Swiss Chalet has it all and is already fully booked through mid-2019. This pretty home is a minute (or less!) walk to town and sits nestled among evergreens showcasing postcard views of Mirror Lake. I am not a poet, and will allow the pictures to speak for themselves. And our Swiss Chalet may have inspired not one, but two, (VERY) famous artists. Curious?... just ask!
