“My stay in the Penthouse Suite at Opal Oaks was amazing. The penthouse was spacious and beautiful. The property was quiet and in a good central location. Megan was kind enough to accommodate an early check-in, which was a lifesaver since I wasn’t feeling well and needed a nap. I was in the area for work, and it was so much nicer to stay at Opal Oaks instead of a hotel. I would absolutely stay there again if I am back in the area. I can’t say enough nice things - Book it!”

💌 Geoffrey Chaucer’s Parlement of Foules, also known as Parliament of Birds, is a dream vision poem written in the 1300s. The roughly 700-line poem centers on a gathering of birds on St. Valentine’s Day to choose their mates for the year, guided by Lady Nature. 🦚🦚

The poem is notable for being one of the first literary associations of Valentine’s Day with romantic love & is likely the reason we send love letters today in celebration of Valentines Day! 💘

Meet Earl Grey, one of our handsome peacocks, currently getting some extra TLC & Royal Treatment in the Wellness Wing! 🪶 While Earl Grey hasn’t had much of an appetite lately, we’re giving him the care he needs to get back to strutting his stuff with the rest of the flock.

🌳 At Opal Oaks, caring for our vibrant peacocks is part of daily life, and each one of these stunning birds plays a special role in the ecosystem we’re building here. From ensuring their health to maintaining their beautiful habitat, we’re committed to their well-being.
