Return customer-DonMartin- brought some “newbies” along for this trip… miss Kendall with her first walleye! A nice grade of fish- near the islands -30 fish limit - back to the dock before 11! Worms were the ticket! Dipsy Divers were on fire! (As usual) 3’s at 85 back- zero’s at 65 back. Board rods from 90-120! Great day! See you guys again next year!

Super fun family fishing trip today! Didn’t leave the dock until 930am and wound up with 22 nice walleye! Our Dad, Rod, 3 Carmer boys, nephew Bryce, Cousin Jeff Tressel and good friend Tim… super fun day!

We had long time customers today -the John Cawley group- and we Left the dock at 6am … Started in the wrong spot this morning… didn’t wait long and made a move, didn’t l land our 1st keeper walleye until 830 am… thought we were in big trouble… our guys rocked it out and we manufactured 40 walleye! Another great day!

We had 3 trips this weekend- Fridays trip was long time customers the Foster’s on their 32nd Anniversary trip- lots of fun as we made a few moves and wound up with 29 walleye, Saturday’s trip was the Wilson group, plenty of hands on help from these guys helping us put 34 walleye in the cooler! Sundays trip was the Nissel family returning for Sofia’s annual Birthday fishing trip, along with Aria and Logan, these awesome kids helped us get their limit of 24 walleye in the cooler! What a great 3 days! We need to get some sleep!

Another day another limit! Long time corporate customers “Englefield Oil” on the boat today, with a group of newbies that learned the system and did a great job!! 32 nice walleye hit the cooler today ! We also had an unlikely passenger.. a bat! Not sure how he got out there but he was tired and took a rest on the boat while we fished… crazy!! Back at it next weekend …

Metzger group round 3! Our long time customers got another limit on the Swamp! We got their fish, the mates and a few for the captain.. 34 in the cooler! Done by noon! Dipsy divers with worm harnesses continue to produce for us. Back at it tomorrow!

Charter 3 of 3 this weekend was with Captain TC’s church camp friends Matt and his sons Karter and Kellen, friend Logan and father in law Doug. We were able to capture a boat limit of 42 walleye and back to the dock by noon! The boys learned the system right away and were awesome on the deck! Great day on the water with great friends! Back at it next weekend!

Charter 2 of 3 this weekend- we had new Customers the Underwood group with us today This group was new to “big board trolling” but after a few quick lessons, they caught on quickly. We were back at the dock with the customers limit (and the first mates as well) by noon. Spoons 85-120 back and dipsys 65-80 back with meat. Great job guys! See you next time for perch!!

Finally back at it today after a run of weather cancellations!! 1st of 3 trips this weekend, we had Return customers-the Hance group- the guys ran the deck today like pros! We got their limit plus the mate and captain’s as well! Spoons 80-115 back and dipseys at 85 with meat. Great day!!

We had 1st timer Kameron Meeting and friends on the boat today-great group of guys who caught on to the system quickly and worked the rods putting 28 walleye in the box for their limit +4 bonus fish. Great time today, see you guys next year!

Super fun day on the water today… we had one of Captain T.C’s former students Eddie Kreager (and Mom and Dad) on the boat with us today… I gotta tell you- we have a future charter captain on our hands! Eddie was a machine on deck today! He learned the system in about 20 minutes and handled rods better than most adults we have on board! This kid is a natural! Super nice family-Super fun day!

Today was the last of the 4 trips this weekend, we had the Guthrie group with us today, We struggled a bit today in the heat to get a consistent program going and we ended up a few fish short of their limit. Back at it next weekend!

Well Captain T.C.’s counter said 36 but the fish board said otherwise (Retired guy brain fart lol) but we had a great day with one of our favorite groups the Metzger family! Great grade of fish today! Captain T.C. will work on his math skills before tomorrow’s trip 😂 Happy Father’s Day to all of our friends, family and fellow captains!

2 days -2 limits- we had return customers-the Josh Wolfe family out with us today- back to Vermillion where the walleye continue to bite! 32 in the box (with 2 bonus perch)and back before 12! Another fantastic day!

Well today we made the long run to Vermillion and it paid off nicely! We had the Schwartz group out for their first time today (1st two trips were rescheduled- so 3rd time was a charm!) A super nice family with several catching the first fish of their lives as well as their first walleye! The kids caught on very quickly and were even netting the fish! Great day, great weather, awesome time! 38 fish in the box! See you guys next year!

Return customers the Eckurd group were back with us today. Lots of bugs on a beautiful day, they pulled their 36 plus a few for the mate! With plenty of short fish as well, 38 walleye hit the cooler! Deep sets today- 75-85 tru-trips with spoons, and dipsys set at 45-65. An awesome day on the Canadian line!

We had return customers -the Swiger group-out today, we started fishing in the rain and finished in the wind and big waves and had to call it a day! We ended up with 27 in the box! Happy Memorial Day to all! See you guys next year!

The fishing just continues to be incredible! We had an old high school buddy and return customer-Paul Brimlow and his boys back on the boat today. Another fast boat limit and done by 930! Great job fellas! Back at it tomorrow!

We had 10 year return customers the “Metzger” family with us today. Another great time with fun and laughs all day! It was our 3rd straight trip with a boat limit of 48 fish and back before noon! Fishing is on fire! Back at it tomorrow!

Wow! Another great day on the Swamp! Day 2 of the Mike Hopp group did not disappoint! Fighting through the bugs, We were able to get a boat limit (48 fish) for the 2nd day in a row! Great day today! See you guys next time!

Wild day today! We had our old friend Mike Hopp and friends on the boat today. The fog delayed us a bit this morning but it didn’t seem to matter, we left the dock at 11 and we were back at 3:30 with 48 in the box! Incredible day! Great job guys! Let’s do it again tomorrow!

Well after 2 rough days of fishing due to the bad weather, we finally had a beautiful day to fish! We took the LEE group out for their first time walleye fishing and it did not disappoint! 34 walleye went into the cooler today- just 2 short of their limit (due to time restrictions) giving us 90 fish for the weekend trips-Another great day on the Swamp!!

With pouring rain, wind, thunder and lightning.. returning customers-the Studebaker group-decided to give it a go! We wound up putting 26 walleye in the white cooler! The day turned out great with a very questionable start! Great job guys! See you next time!

We had repeat customers the Don Martin group back with us today..with pretty poor conditions, we decided to give it a go… with 5-6ft rollers this morning, we braved the wind and waves and managed to put 29 in the box! Young Mr. Maverick (a first time walleye fisherman) got the 3 biggest fish of the day! hope to see you guys again soon!!

Day 2 of the Rhodes boys group. What a difference a day makes… struggled early to get a program going, and finally after several moves and program changes we were able to finally get a steady bite going- after several bad tangles, we finished up with 27 walleye in the white coffin, totaling 63 walleye for both trips! Let’s do it again next year fellas! Thanks guys!

We had Cuyahoga Falls High School classmates- the Rhodes boys- on the Swamp today! Crazy weather didn’t stop these guys from a good time! We laughed all day and got their limit! Stay tuned for day 2 tomorrow!

Well today was our first official charter of the 2024 season! Returning customer Paul Gerycz (an old college buddy of Capt. TC) and friends came out on a fairly tough day- wind-rain-muddy water- and learned how to “grind” today! With a slow bite we managed to find 16 hungry walleye to put in the cooler! Not too bad! See you guys again soon! Cheers to a good season! Here we go!

Finally in the water!! After weeks of work, lots of new upgrades and detailing… the “Swamp” splashed down today at 9am! Grabbed the family and took her out for a “shakedown trip” to get the gear wet and grab a few walleye along the way… she ran like a champ! And we are sitting at dock 57 at Channel Grove Marina primed and ready for our season to start next weekend! Cheers to a great season!! Can’t wait!
