HDTVs...Don't be fooled by the low prices on TVs at Sam's Club and Costco! Did you know that the reason the warehouse stores have some of the best prices on HDTVs is because they purchase large numbers of special model HDTVs from the TV manufacturers which are not available in other retail or on-line stores. Essentially, these TVs are very basic versions of the TVs you find at other retailers. The trade off for purchasing a TV at a lower price is you are getting fewer features and lower quality video processing. This usually translates into lower picture quality than you would get if you purchase one of the higher model number TVs of a manufacturer's TV line.

Just in case you love Sam's Club or Costco, (I couldn't feed my four boys with out them!) I'm only suggesting that a little research before you purchase a TV can save you a lot of headaches and time. Don't make impulse purchases simply because you are at the store and you think you have found the best deal on a HDTV. Try checking a site like www.cnet.com or www.consumerreports.com for an impartial view of the quality and value of the HDTV you are thinking about purchasing.

A new HDTV can last a very long time, take the time to do a little comparative shopping and you will find the perfect TV for your home.
