The big weekend antique and bargan hunters have been waiting for, Take A Break From the Interstate Road Market.
Please enjoy the 3-DAY ROAD MARKET this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. July 26, 27, and 28th, 2024.

We ask that everyone be safe and watch for sudden stops, don't park in the roadway or travel lanes, slow down, don't drive distracted, and put the cell phones down.

The 21 Road Market is every last weekend in July (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Starting in Harmony, North Carolina, passing through Wilkes, Alleghany, Grayson, and Wythe Counties, the road market ends in Wytheville, Virginia.

Along the route you’ll pass 8 State or National Parks, have the opportunity to dine in local eateries, shop in quaint antique stores, and visit local artisans. During this 3 Day Road Market, vendors, merchants, individuals, and local businesses set up for 100 miles along scenic route 21. Take a break from the interstate and enjoy a leisurely drive on Highway 21!

Join us during the Mary Draper Ingles Festival, July 26-28!

At Glencoe Mansion that weekend we will be joined by authors and musicians who will share their works with us from the same era as the Mary Draper Ingles story.

We will have author talks by Sharyn McCrumb and Kathleen Grissom, who both have novels set during this time in history. They will talk about their books and research, and sign books afterward.

We will also have music by Kim & Jimbo Cary. They will present music from Appalachian history and beyond. The performance is being sponsored in part by the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.

To learn more about these events and the rest of the Festival, view the full schedule here: https://www.glencoemansion.org/glencoe-mdi-events
