I haven’t paper pieced in years!
Oh, look close, I do not sew through the paper. 🤔
It actually went faster than expected.
Now to put the pieces together.

I am back!
I took a break (it was kind of forced).
I am not sure how random and clunky my posts will be. Since Scott passed away in October I’ve just been surviving. Traveling. Trying to stay busy. Thinking. Feeling.

I pulled fabric from my stash (mostly batiks) and have decided to work on the first block. I am making the 8” block. Lots of pieces! Want to see the block when I get it finished?

This is the hardest post I have to write. I am having such a hard time saying this. Scott Hayes passed away this morning! The love of my life. My rock. I will miss him every single day. I love you always my sweet, sweet husband and best friend.

So, can I tell you something? I was between teaching sessions at Missouri Star Academy and I just needed a few minutes for a quiet beak. I sat down on the floor in a secluded area and started to scroll on my phone. I was delighted and surprised to see that my quilt is on the cover of the new Keepsake Quilting Catalog. I had no idea it was on the cover. I cried. I think tears of joy mixed with a bit of exhaustion! This makes me feel proud. Oh, you might want to know the name of the pattern. It’s called Northern Tracks, fabric by Northcott.
