My clay work is wheel-thrown, high-fired stoneware. I make functional items for everyday use. My forms are simple with limited embellishments. When I hear my work is used often/daily, I feel that I have done my job.

Ben Richgruber Feature
Ben's work often explores the flow of hot glass. Using heat, gravity, and a little luck, the glass flows to create unique patterns and designs. Sometimes metal and plaster casting molds are used to create more complex and sculptural forms. Every project teaches him something new, so even if it doesn't go as planned, it's still (at least a little bit) successful.
