😎 🌞 The dam and Root River are clear and beautiful, the sun is shining, wheels are spinning on the bike trail, and downtown is buzzing!
🚣🎣 Also, the outfitters are open and you can get back to tubing and kayaking the river safely again! And the fishing is sublime!
It's going to be a beautiful weekend in Lanesboro!
😲 The dam and river are roaring today after the heavy rainfall in the area last night!
While thankfully we don't have any local flooding today, our thoughts are with everyone else around the region affected by the recent extreme rainfall.
With the river levels this high it's moving very fast with lots of debris also moving at high speeds. As such water sports are not recommended until the river levels recede. Keep an eye out on Root River Outfitters page for more info on when they'll be renting tubes and kayaks again.
The Root River Bike Trail is open and we have not heard reports of any flooding or negative conditions on the trail as of this posting.
