Winter officially begins this weekend, and it's a great time to get outdoors and enjoy some winter fun! ❄️

Tickets are now available for snow tubing at Hawk Island, which creates its own snow so you can book a visit that works with your schedule no matter the weather. ☃️

The region also has other sledding and snow tubing hills like Burchfield Park, cross country skiing trails, and more.

Silver Bells in the City is a lively event with bright lights, loud sounds, and big crowds—an exciting but sometimes overwhelming experience. To help, Silver Bells has teamed up with the Mid Michigan Autism Association to offer resources for a more sensory-friendly experience.

Here are some tips and resources available during Silver Bells:

🎧 Headphones, earplugs, fidget spinners, and more will be available at the Silver Bells Village (100 block of E. Allegan St.) at the Mid-Michigan Autism Association booth, while supplies last.
👀 Find a quieter viewing spot at the end of the parade route on Capitol Ave. between Washtenaw and Hillsdale (see the map for info)
🏢 If you need a break, there will be a Sensory Room at Grewal Hall at 224 from 5–9 p.m., no registration needed.
