Love how this can relate to being a travel advisor as well. A giant 🚢 ship's engine broke down and no one could repair it, so they hired a Mechanical Engineer with over 30 years of experience. ⚙️
He inspected the engine very carefully, from top to bottom. After seeing everything, the engineer unloaded his bag and pulled out a small hammer.
He knocked something gently. Soon, the engine came to life again. The engine has been fixed!
A week later the engineer mentioned to the ship owner that the total cost of repairing the giant ship was $20,000. 💰
"What?!" said the owner. “You did almost nothing. Give us a detailed bill."
The Engineer replied him “The answer is simple:”
Tap with a hammer: $2
Know where to knock and how much to knock: $19,998. 💰
The importance of appreciating one's expertise and experience...🙌 because those are the results of struggles, experiments and even tears..😭💪

Are you planning on flying this summer! It's crazy out there, some things to keep in mind! Add your suggestions in the comments
1. If it's less than 7 hours - DRIVE! There is nothing enjoyable about flying right now. If you must fly, keep reading.
2. Download and use the app of the airline you are flying. You can get your boarding pass, track your bags and incoming plane, and change a flight. These apps will update you to changes before the crews even know.
3. Fly earlier than you need to - a whole day early if it's important!! You do not want to miss that wedding, funeral, cruise, your international connection, etc. Don't be stressed.
4. Fly the first flight in the morning so you have all day to be rebooked if things go amiss. Early flights are less likely to cancel.
5. Summer is thunderstorm season. A single storm can shut down a whole airport or another airport you're going to or your plane is coming from.
6. Schedule long layovers - A 1 hour layover is NOT enough. 2-2.5 hrs at least
7. What you see on the news is an understatement. Airlines are short staffed and overworked. Not just pilots and flight attendants, but also ground crews (park the planes, drive jetways, get your bags on/off planes) This causes delays that snowball throughout the day.
8. When flight crews get delayed they can time out. They can NOT fly longer than 14-16 hours depending on the airline. It's illegal.
9. Avoid connecting in Newark (high rate of cancelations or mis connects or aren't enough staff to manage the planes.
10. Be nice to all staff and crews, they are overworked and tired.
11. Being drunk on an airplane is a federal offense, so don't overdo it at the bar waiting for your delayed flight you risk not being allowed to fly at all.
12. Get trip insurance if you have a lot of money invested.
13. Flights are FULL. If you buy the cheap seats you will not be able to sit with your family.
14. Booking third party websites, DONT. If a flight is oversold, and no one volunteers to give up their seats, you will be the first to be bumped.
15. Pack smart. Check that bag, or do laundry on your trip, you don't need 10 bags.
16. Take showers, brush your teeth, No perfume or cologne and bring headphones.
17. Bring a sweater!!!!! Yes it will and does get cold on the planes, they keep them that way so less people faint or get sick from motion.
18. That's not water on the bathroom floor. Wear shoes to the bathroom!!! 🤮
