BELIZE. As I’m reviewing March itineraries, I realize I have a lot of people traveling to Belize! It’s no wonder, as this diverse country with a mix of cultures, languages, and activities makes it a fascinating place to visit.

I have clients staying in the mountains, then the beach; some just the beach, and some are staying in the islands. Belize is known for having some of the best diving and snorkeling in the world - but it is equally popular for its jungle and mountain experiences.

The Mayan cave world (the “underworld”), where you can go cave tubing and kayaking, is in the mountains. So are the Mayan ruins - some of the most important ruins to explore. Hiking, waterfall swimming, and ziplining, are some other activities.

The photo above is from my family vacation to Belize. We did a split stay between the mountains and the beach, and we loved it. Like Costa Rica, it’s getting popular, so book it before it explodes! Message me.

AMALFI COAST. One of the most mesmerizing and romantic places in the world. How I love this breathtaking part of Italy.

JAPAN. Clients will be staying at this beautifully restored ryokan (Japanese guesthouse) in Kyoto called Sowaka - a boutique hotel of 23 rooms, lush courtyards, and a mix of ancient and modern detail. Think paper sliding doors, handmade cedar speakers, serene spaces.

They will be visiting Tokyo and Osaka as well and I have food tours, city tours, Geisha tour, and market tours all lined up for them.

HIKE. Piton viewing. What I love about St. Lucia is how adventurous it is. It’s mountainous landscape and lush rainforest is a backyard playground.

Hiking, nature trails, jungle exploring, hot springs, mud baths, zip lining and all of the water sports of course, make this island both adventurous and relaxing. Your pick.

GRENADA. This Caribbean island is getting more and more attention for its unspoilt beauty, pristine beaches, adventurous rainforest/ jungle, and good food.

Activities include of course water sports, snorkeling through an underwater sculpture park, jungle hikes, waterfall jumping, chocolate and nutmeg tours, catamaran rides and more.

2024 TRAVEL. It’s on. For those of you new to my page, my name is Corey and I’m a travel advisor. I plan trips around the world for families, couples, friend groups, multi-gen, anyone!

I have hotel and tourism partners virtually everywhere (local weekend getaway? No problem. 3 week trip to the Far East? You got it) and love planning trips and special celebrations for people.

So excited to be sending clients to one of my favorite places on earth - magical Deia, Mallorca. I’ve written about it in several posts. Its beauty and allure have long attracted artists, writers and the likes.

They will be celebrating their wedding anniversary at the mountainside enclave, Belmond’s La Residencia - a true oasis nestled in the Tramuntana hills, but also with close access to the sea. Truly a stunning hotel!

Can’t wait for clients to stay at Domes of Elounda with this view. Crete is one of Greece’s bigger islands, offering so much to do, from of course its stunning beaches to boat trips to cave exploring, hiking, and Jeep touring, all of which my clients will be doing. It’s great for families, and all travelers 💙.

Came back from Paris to lots of trip planning - finally getting to post highlights now! April was an exceptional time to visit, and we saw and did so much.

Here are just some of the activities:
*Bumbling around and dipping into bakeries and shops. Lots and lots of walking!
*Visits to Louvre and Musee d’Orsay
*Seine river cruise in the evening to see the Eiffel Tower sparkle
*Neighborhood exploring: St. Germain, Latin Quarter, Marais and Montmartre were some highlights
*Took in the views of Paris from Sacre Cour
*Day trip to Versailles
*Macaron making class

COUPLES GETAWAY. At Hotel Lungarno in Florence. With its setting on the Arno River with views of Ponte Vecchio and rooftop views like this, it’s the perfect spot for that special occasion.

COSTA BRAVA, Spain, at hotel La Gavina.

Spain is on 🔥. At least according to my client requests for spring and summer. Clients will be heading to Barcelona, followed by Costa Brava, the beautiful, rugged coast north of the city with fishing villages that seem to have stopped in time.

Staying at hotel La Gavina on the coast, after an action packed stay in Barcelona, is always my idea of a good itinerary. Beach, Pool, biking, tennis, Michelin food, good wine…just some of the things they can enjoy at this gorgeous Mediterranean hotel.

VENICE. With its canals, islands and architecture, it’s one of the most unique cities in the world.

I have upcoming client trips, and these are some of the things they are doing: Tour of St. Mark’s Basilica and Doge’s Palace, roaming Rialto market, a sunset gondola ride, a boat excursion to the islands of Murano (think Murano glass making workshops) and Burano (island full of rainbow colored buildings), and simply rambling around the winding streets.

NAYARA TENTED CAMP in Costa Rica. Just booked a family over the December holiday break for 2024.

This unique property with luxurious tents that sit on stilts with prime views of the rainforest, volcano and nature, books up early.

All of Costa Rica, in fact, books up early these days. Maybe not 2024 early, but CR is one of the hottest destinations right now. I’ve booked and planned a lot of trips to this beautiful country, and continue to do so, with the requests coming in for next year.

Corey’s Travel Background

Corey joined Elli Travel in 2020. She has worked in the travel business for the majority of her career, including her current undertaking as the owner of Fifi + Hop, a travel blog dedicated to travel guides, tips and reviews. From a young age, travel has always been a big part of Corey’s life; yet it was a particular summer in Greece as a teenager that hooked her. From there she went on to live in Spain, Costa Rica, and Chile on various study and work abroad programs.

After working in San Francisco as an event planner in her post college years, Corey moved to New York City in 2001, where she worked at the Museum of Modern Art, and planned global trips to art biennials and events for The Contemporary Arts Council, a high-level donor membership group. The itineraries included organized visits to art events, museums, private collections, artists’ studios, hotel stays, restaurants, and bus transfers. Places visited included Istanbul, Cuba, Switzerland, China, Amsterdam, Ireland, Marfa, TX, Santa Fe, NM and more. Additionally, she planned local weekly events in New York.

Fast forward to now, living with her family in Westchester, NY, Corey is excited to use her travel planning and travel website skills as a travel advisor. She loves to research places, to experience them, to tell all about them, and to help people with their travel plans; she gets no greater satisfaction than of being a valuable resource and providing people with excellent, personalized service.
