I call ahead and make sure everyone knows when my clients are expected so you get treated like gold.��👉 They don’t know you and your travel preferences and the hotels, resorts, and experiences that will suit you best. When you’re my valued client, I take all of this into consideration when I plan your family trips.��👉 They’ll be polite and helpful, but to them, you’re just another person out of hundreds in a queue. Plan ahead! Booking early will ensure you are getting the cabin and deck you want. And I mean early…certain rooms can start to fill up even a year out.

Book your dining time, if you have a preference, while you are booking your cruise…those times can fill up fast too!

Arrive a day or two before the cruise leaves. Do not stress yourself with potential flight days and explore the city you will be causing out of.

Do you sit at a 3-4, where you don’t really care because you won’t spend much time in your room, or are you sitting at a 9 or 10 where your hotel or resort can make or break your trip?

When it comes to my trips, I’m a 8-9 because the hotel room is part of the experience and I want to have a full experience.

What’s your travel style?

The reason I ask is that this is such an important piece of information for a travel agent.
Do you like adventure and having lots of things to do all day? Or do you like a slow pace where you can focus on and immerse yourself in one thing? Do you like luxury accommodations, or are you willing to prioritize and spend on other aspects of the trip? I, for example, am the type of traveler who likes to take it slow and easy with no schedule. I like to have activities researched prior to my trip but I am not the type to plan out each day.

If I could earn frequent flyer miles for the amount of time I spend on hold with various travel-related companies, I’d have enough to fly first class for the rest of my life!

If I only enjoyed being on hold as much as I enjoy all of the other parts of what I do, like chatting with clients about their travel goals and bucket lists and diving into my research to match my clients with the perfect hotel or resort.

But if sitting on hold means my clients can truly enjoy and make the most of their vacations and time together, I’ll happily do it!

Any tips for surviving the post Holiday blues?

I like to keep a few tricks up my sleeve to get me through it. My best remedy is, of course, getting a trip on the calendar that I can start looking forward to. Right now, I’m considering options for my family getaway, this Summer. And while I prep and get excited for that, I’m also planning on doing some exploring in my home town. Las Vegas is great place to explore in the Winter months!

I started my career in the Travel industry in 2001 after completing a travel agent certification course with The Travel Academy. I worked as a travel agent right after my training ended. I left the industry for a while to go to college and pursue other fields. I was drawn back to it, as it is my true love and passion! I worked for America West Airlines and American Airlines, in Customer Service as an agent and Manager. I recently left American to return to my first love, planning vacations and getaways!

I specialize in all things Disney, family vacations, honeymoons, and beach getaways.

I truly believe travel agents are an asset, especially during these strange times. I will be available to you throughout all the stages of your vacation, from planning to making sure you get home safely.
