On my 2nd trip out of Detroit. Escorting a school group to DC. A student was suspended from school yesterday and still tried to go on the trip. The teacher in charge handled it.

On my way into Detroit with a layover in Charlotte (normally, I fly nonstop but my flight was only $11 using my points). I want to say that they really improved this airport. If you have a connecting flight through Charlotte, make sure you have at least 1 hour between connections. While speaking of airports, the Long Beach airport that I flew into for my cruise, was like nothing I've seen in the states (Caribbean, yes). Everything was outdoors and you had to walk down stairs or a ramp to get on and off the plane. I have to assume it's really beautiful in warm weather.
