This Is How We Roll

So….its been three weeks since we went from Bus life to living in a rental home until our new home is built and move in ready (October…November). I never knew how much I missed living in a house! It’s the little things I guess like…regular 2 ply TP! A full size washer and dryer (although I had RV ones in Mr. Big) now a weeks worth of laundry takes a few hours instead of two days! A garbage disposal! Full size dish washer instead of the small one in the bus. A garage and my own car again! Room to move and a small private backyard for the poodles! No more walking in dirty dog parks in the rain! Having the same neighbors everyday! Although we met so many amazing people and made such good friends on the road I found out that I missed the normality of a neighborhood that isn’t as transient as an RV park and our resort here in Vegas where we spent our winters. I Love having a private backyard again where if I want to walk out in my un**es I can 😉😉! All in all the transition has been perfect! Everyone is happy and settled and it feels really…really good! We sold Mr.Big….found a place to move…moved….bought Lou a car all in a 10 day period! Let’s just say that and I don’t waste anytime getting things done! We knew when we got back to our winter home in October we were done and we just rolled with it! We had never put an expiration date on fulltime living in Mr. Big but we just knew it was time for the next chapter which we both are over the moon excited about! So on to the next chapter in our book of life! We will still travel and explore just differently so stay tuned as I share the build and of our home and are new adventures…

So we did a thing yesterday….
We purchased a new home in Las Vegas (my home town) and will be giving up fulltime Bus life! It’s been 5 years of full time living and time for our next chapter in life. After traveling the country and exploring so many beautiful places we decided to land back here. We will still travel to get out of the Vegas heat but it will just be done differently. We never set an expiration date on this life style but we would know when the time was right and it just feels right. So still follow along its going to be exciting!!

What to do on a nasty rainy day….🤔 well cleaned out the fridge…starting preparing dishes etc. for our Sunday travel day and finally try something new for hubby’s dinner! Salmon brushed with Dill infused olive oil…placed in a parchment paper pouch with vine ripe tomatoes and some extra Dill sprinkled on top. Baked @ 350 for approximately 25 minutes (depending how you like your salmon cooked) and voilà! Dinner is served! said it was delish!

One of my favorite parts of this lifestyle is the people you meet! This Summer we reconnected with some of our favorite people and had the best time with them all! We met and here at Sea Perch last Summer. They also own a and had questions which of course had the answers for! We were happy to learn they were doing a repeat visit to and we were able to spend sometime with them and Charlie. Beach day for the kids (Harper has a new bestie!) beautiful day for us all. Ended the afternoon with Charcuterie and a nice bottle of wine. Great day…beautiful weather….this is how we Tiffin!! And this is How We Roll!

We never tire of taking friends to explore all of our favorite and special places on the Oregon Coast especially when those friends are two of the best people we know! Fun day with and to Cape Perpetua on a short easy hike with the most amazing views. After we made a stop at Devils Churn while the tide was in and watched the crashing waves and looked for tide pools. The weather today was amazing and the company even more so! So excited to see what the rest of the week has in store for us…

Tonight dinner was Cola Braised Short Ribs served over Parmesan Risotto courtesy of a recipe! Did not disappoint and will be making again! Delicious! Who ever said you can’t cook gourmet food in a 45’ Bus…?

So we have known about Pacific Sourdough in Waldport Oregon for a few years and now we know why we have stayed away! Lines every morning and the smells!! You can get into some serious trouble in this cute little Bakery 😉😉 fresh breads in many flavors….pastries galore….cookies and cobblers OH MY!
If you are in the area they are open Thursday…Friday and Saturday and specially breads available each day along with the staples. We did leave with a few things…

After a day of Farm hopping dinner tonight was a fresh egg Frittata with Sausage…Mushroom and Potatoes with a nice wedge salad with the amazing Tomatoes we found today! Delish!

Today was Yachats Farm Tour and it was a beautiful day for it! You travel down Yachats Road and make stops at all the farms along the way and purchase their goods! Some of our favs are…The Little Red Coop where they have Fresh Eggs and the owner can bake like nobody’s business! From there we head right to River Wind Farm (she sells our quickly!) The owner who is a master gardener will take you into the greenhouses and cut your veggies right off the plant! The most amazing produce ever! On the way back we stop at Forks Farm for beautiful flowers…fantastic Basil (that she cut right in front of me!) and she makes the most amazing jams! All in all a great way to spend a beautiful Saturday in Oregon! We also got a little traffic jam on the way out! 😉😉 Love my farms and farmers markets!

Today we took a short 5 miles drive South to Washburn Beach to check it out! A very short walk to the beach though a tunnel of trees that opens up to an AMAZING Beach!! Hardly any people out today so it was perfect! The poodles will be coming with us next time!

Dinner tonight was….delish Italian Chicken Sausage from with a Little Gem salad with crisp bacon crumbles….tomatoes… some fried onions and a Greek Feta dressing! If you haven’t tried the sausage or the Little Gem lettuce from they are both a must try!

After an afternoon of washing the Sea Salt off Mr. Big I was so hungry I had to take a bite before the pic LOL! Tonight’s dinner was Bison Burgers by the grill master and a Romaine Wedge!! Delish!

Todays Summer of Sunsets did not disappoint! After a long day of driving to Eugene for dermo appt then a much needed stop to Trader Joe’s and Costco we were welcomed home by this amazing sky!
