So….its been three weeks since we went from Bus life to living in a rental home until our new home is built and move in ready (October…November). I never knew how much I missed living in a house! It’s the little things I guess like…regular 2 ply TP! A full size washer and dryer (although I had RV ones in Mr. Big) now a weeks worth of laundry takes a few hours instead of two days! A garbage disposal! Full size dish washer instead of the small one in the bus. A garage and my own car again! Room to move and a small private backyard for the poodles! No more walking in dirty dog parks in the rain! Having the same neighbors everyday! Although we met so many amazing people and made such good friends on the road I found out that I missed the normality of a neighborhood that isn’t as transient as an RV park and our resort here in Vegas where we spent our winters. I Love having a private backyard again where if I want to walk out in my un**es I can 😉😉! All in all the transition has been perfect! Everyone is happy and settled and it feels really…really good! We sold Mr.Big….found a place to move…moved….bought Lou a car all in a 10 day period! Let’s just say that and I don’t waste anytime getting things done! We knew when we got back to our winter home in October we were done and we just rolled with it! We had never put an expiration date on fulltime living in Mr. Big but we just knew it was time for the next chapter which we both are over the moon excited about! So on to the next chapter in our book of life! We will still travel and explore just differently so stay tuned as I share the build and of our home and are new adventures…

Happy New Year! We ushered in 2024 @jonathanclub in downtown LA with @mjsobotka46 (my sister) and brother-in-law Joe Chambers and it was spectacular! The club is amazing…food was beyond delish….service impeccable! No expense was spared for this special event. My feet are killing me from dancing so I am going back to bed now! Haven’t stayed up until 2:30 in a very long time LOL! #jonathanclubdowntown #nye #happynewyear #drinkinganddancing #hangingwiththelacrowd #thisishowweroll

2023…. Where did that year go…? We traveled cross country and back. We were gone 7 months total and upon returning to Las Vegas for the winter we decided the time was right to give up full time coach life and settle back down in a sticks and bricks! We will still travel just differently which will still be as fun and adventure packed. 2023 returned us to familiar places and so many new ones. We made many new friends and visited with those near and dear to our hearts. All and all with only a few bumps in the road it was an amazing year! As 2023 comes to a close and 2024 opens it door we are thankful for what was and excited for what is to come! Happy New Year everyone! Gary: Retired Casino Executive and New York native. After working his butt off for 40 years he has given up the excitement and bright lights of Las Vegas to travel the country and live a relaxing....stress free life on the road.

LouAnn: Retired furniture industry professional, former furniture showroom owner and Las Vegas native. Meets above great guy in 1990....marries him in 1992 and lives happily ever after. Loves traveling in the bus as long as it has all of the bells and whistles...Gary and the Poodles!

Our Motorhome life started when trying to figure out how to take our fur babies with us on vacation. After a few rentals we took the plunge and purchased our first gas coach a 2007 Fleetwood Bounder. We LOVED that coach but quickly out grew it. Our first dive into a diesel pusher was a 2011 Monaco Knight and we LOVED that coach too! Unfortunately it had an engine with many issues. In 2017 while on vacation in Southern California after having engine problems again....we found a 2017 Tiffin Allergo Bus 37AP and drove it home. We REALLY LOVE this Bus!! And the plan is to keep this one....( we will see ).

So...that is our story in a nut shell! We have decided that life is so very short and why work so hard and not be able to enjoy what we have earned. As of June 1, 2019 we are off! So stayed tuned to see where our travels take us....tips on living the RV life....and fabulous places to stay.
