So this happened today at 2:30am... the 45 year old Clarion Hotel was imploded to make way for new development. This is the first hotel implosion in Las Vegas since 2007. The property, once owned by Debbie Reynolds, was partially brought down by 2 tons of explosives. We say partially because the elevator shaft failed to come down and must be deconstructed manually by crane. Even though the implosion went unnoticed by most, one of our tour guides heard the implosion at their home... 20 miles away!
