I enjoy seeing major cities in the earliest of mornings. The serenity and beauty of the city is at its best just before the dawn and as it wakes. My 3rd career affords me to see cities from a different point of view and enjoy them at their calmest.

I have attended the 2009 Inauguration, marched in the 2013 Inauguration Parade and have a residence in the DMV area, there are a few tips for those planning to attend the 2025 Inauguration.

1. Book your hotel now! Prices will increase by 100 to 300% by the time the next President is elected.
2. Have at least 2 to 3 transportation plans (I suggest walking and trains)
3. Print out any and all reservations and have on your person. Cell towers can and will get blocked
4. Do not assume family and friends in the DMV will...
...host
...drive
...and/or play tour guide
5. Plan to arrive a minimum 2 days early and leave leave a day later (not the next day)
...consider transportation from the airport to your hotel (suggest train)

The DMV is already hectic without special events. With the potential excitement and given Obama's Inaugurations, prepare, Prepare, PREPARE!
