Attention please! Can you please like and follow our page? We are about 50 persons shy of 10,000 followers and I am not to proud to beg. The 10k follower mark gets a bit of bump in traffic and my ego wants more people to show our places to. For some of you this will require finesse to add your follow to my vanity metric so imagine my cat Pumpkin is asking you for the like and follow and we all know the internet loves cats! Or what about a dog, or bird, or Josh by the general lee car? We are not part of any government or political group and do all of this for free. We show our own photos we take and pay with our own money or sometimes get food for free to show on here as we are like cats and dogs because if you feed us we will come around more. At least we are transparent like this so please "Like" and "Follow" us here to get us over the 10,000 followers and like count!

It's Presidents Day and many of you are off with the kids. Others are hearing of the coming snow and cold weather and that's enough to drive a person to drink. I have been watching a few videos where absolutely crazy things are happening to people in downtown Nashville so I am asking you to please consider our local places if you tend to go drink and stay away from Nashville. For you who have to have a party scene then see our list below of dedicated bars of various kinds and restaurants that do have a bar scene. I am on medication that would not go well with alcohol so I am not a frequent participant here. I do like the Most Wanted Cigar Bar and 1819 The Restaurant in their Catherine Lounge as like to sit around a nice place and talk. Other places may have a different atmosphere so put in the comments how our local places are doing or what they can do to make you want to stay local rather than go out. I will try to put the places under each photo!

It’s Valentine’s Day and we have a few statements and a few questions to ask of you. There are still a few tables left at some places and walk in availability at others. We I’ll be putting the events and specials in the comments below and welcome you to also share events in the comments section so that others may know where they can get in today. So where do you go for Galantines Day? My guess would be the Brass Lantern as they are open later and feature pasta and desserts 🍨! The best I can tell is that Galantines Day is where ladies get together as friends at a place they like to visit and talk with each other the day before Valentine’s Day. Since many of the kids are out of school, go lock them in jail! The Old Jail Museum is a great way to teach your well children about the history of Lawrence County and educate them about world events. Curtis Peters or a volunteer can be your guide to many of our places in town you may not know of. They are just west of the square across the street from the fire department and within walking distance to the many restaurants that have deals for lunch. On these rainy days a good coffee house is hard to beat. Co-Work Coffee is one of those places that is tucked away in an old house where you can sit inside and watch the cars go by. They have about everything you would want and sandwiches and snacks when you get hungry. The parking is in the back where they can run a drink out to you or when you need to drop off someone in a wheelchair as they have a ramp. We have many choices in lodging here that range from small homes to large resorts. Our prices are way more affordable to people who live in cities we try to get some of them to come visit here and stay a few days. If you have friends or family coming in and they need a place to stay then here are a few great places we recommend most over on our Amish of Ethridge page. The Super buys of Lawrenceburg did not go out of business but does have new owners. They call this business The Shoppe and have new inventory at discount prices. We haven’t been in yet but we do want to share their page here - https://www.facebook.com/share/15cjFoGDkx/?mibextid=wwXIfr to let you know of the change as the old super buys signs are being taken down. Go by and meet them as they do appear to be continuing their discount program for those of us who still have punch cards.

I haven't been to all the places in Lawrence County yet to get the more affordable burgers yet but these below are the better cheap burgers that come from locally made places here and not from some fast food place. They try to hit that burger and fry meal for 5$ or so instead of the $15+ burger meal mark. I will always try to support my local area restaurants who come in each day and try to feed those who call on them over a franchise store. That may sound weird but I like the personal connection they have with their food and I believe they like what they do. I will put the places you can find each burger under each photo. I am also like a dog in that if you give me food I will stay around more. I quit asking for money when I did advertising because nobody seems to want to pay but free food may go further in getting your foods on my page.

Kids eat free with every adult at 1819 The Restaurant on Wednesdays at 4pm. This means 1 kid - 1 adult, 2 kids - 2 adults so there must be an adult per kid to get the same plate for free. Or at least that is how I understand it, but as an adult you can get a kids plate that actually has more food than you would think! 1819 The Restaurant is our nicest interior restaurant we have so for Valentines Day, I would take my wife here if you asked me. I would get the biggest steak in hopes she would too and eat some of it and leave room for the awesome desserts and give me the rest!! It's Taco Tuesday!! To my knowledge I have a photo of every Tex-Mex or Mexican inspired restaurant and food truck in Lawrence County. Which ones are your favorite? And which ones has a plate or menu items you want others to try. This will be fun and the more who participate, the better the results so please share this post with your friends! Did we miss a place? Tell us in the comments where your favorite tex-mex and mexican inspired restaurant or food truck is. I know there are other places that have a tex-mex dish but we want to show places that are focused on this type of cuisine. Oh my the weather is awesome! Disk golf is free to play and all you need is one or two of them to get out and play. During the winter is great for getting your throw down pat and learning the courses. We have three here and one at The Farm in Summertown. I'm 46 and very unfit but I like to play as long as I can and go home. Sometimes I take my daughter and let her throw rocks at fish since the creeks seem to be free of anything more than a few inches. The Lions Club sponsors the fields so go play all you want! Disc can be bought at the Buffalo Road Market or ask your disc golf friends if they have a few to sell you or give you as you will be terrible the first few times you play. New disc are between 10-20$ and sometimes the Lawco disc club has events where they sell off their old stock for just a few dollars.
