Celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King today and the good work that he did for unity and peace. This a photograph of his speech on the Mall in DC in 1963. It’s by famed photographer Gordan Parks. It’s part of the Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz collection that was recently on loan for an exhibit at the High Museum in Atlanta. Beautiful collection!

With a heavy heart I wanted to let you about the passing of our fellow traveler Ronnie. He and his wife Margie have been traveling with us for so many, many years. They are such kind and sweet folks. He died peacefully at home in his sleep. Arrangements will be made by Wages in Lawrenceville. Margie is doing ok. I know you’ll hold her in your hearts and prayers. ❤️

I hope everyone did ok during our snow event this weekend!! It was beautiful! Special shout out to my handy husband Thom for being prepared! We had several long power outages and he went above and beyond. He hooked up the portable gas heater, got the gas logs going in the fireplace, had flashlights in every room, and lots of huge battery powered lights too. We were prepared to cook on our camp stove even. We were warm and comfortable thanks to him!!! Can you tell he was a boyscout?? Thanks hon!! ❤️

Thinking of all the good people in California affected by the fires. It’s devastating to see the destruction in this beautiful place. We were there in October and just loved the area. We wandered all around those hills that they show on the news. Twisty two lane roads all through there. How people got out is a miracle and I’m grateful for all the evacuation plans for them. I’m thankful for all the hard working firefighters trying desperately to put the fires out. I hope everyone can stop making this a political game and instead can offer hope to those on the ground fighting these fires and even more hope and comfort to all those people in harms way. They need our support right now! Stay strong California! ❤️❤️❤️
