The real OG pro noodlers are exceptional with oxygen efficiency. Learned a long time ago how to get ready for an extended period under water. As I know it, before you go under, while blocking the hole, breath all the way out. Then open your mouth and take fresh are into your mouth and swallow it over and over and over and over. Then you can take a big deep breath in for your dive. Now as you are under and losing time on your breath. wait till the last second then expend your lungs. Then you can burp up the oxygen you swallowed and rebreath it. Adding another 35 seconds of dive time.

This will be the Dalton Gangs last season.
Getting older and the water is getting colder.
I have new goals for the future and taking 2 months off for noodling won’t get me where I need to be.
So we will enjoy the rest of this year and put down our stringers next year.
It’s not goodbye but only so long for now until it’s in the cards again. All good things must come to an end. This will be the Dalton Gangs last ride. 🥲

Big thank you to the Mayor of Elgin Oklahoma for the winning bid on the charter trip that we donated to the Comanche county memorial hospital Starlight Gala. 3200.00 dollars for the neonatal unit from a noodling trip. Never thought I could turn wrestling with monster catfish into a way to help other people.
