This weekend was one full of mining excitement! The Leadville Boom Days festival is an incredible experience like none other!

You can find mining events and competitions using techniques that have been around for over 150 years! That part of the festival is its own incredible piece of living history that deserves a whole weekend to itself.

Once you get your fill of the mining events, you can guarantee there is something else to entertain you. Whether it be B***o races, or pie eating contests, there's something for everyone at Leadville's Boom Days Festival

Also, huge shout out to Galena Carnegiea, who you can see in the second photo, posing for the picture just moments before she shoveled half a ton of gravel into an ore cart, in 2 minutes and 16 seconds! We're lucky to have her as a part of our incredible team!

Mine Update

So, things at the Lucky Dog Mine took a turn for the worse. There are too many layers to explain, but suffice it to say that the Gold Hound team will not be going back to that property ever again due to bad people, and even worse ground. We did meet a lot of good people in our time in Osceola Nevada, trying to mine for the great basin gold, and have a lot of interesting contacts to follow up on.

So, back to work, prospecting, exploring, and churning out videos for you all to enjoy. We're not letting this slow us down. We may have been stolen from, and lost the opportunity to start our operation this year, but we are coming back with a vengeance. Expect to see a lot of interesting moves over the course of the season!
