Fairytale Journeys by Kimberly My first trip to Disney was when I was 2 years old in the early 1980’s. My family lived in the Orlando area until I was 16 years old. Or, so I thought!

We spent a lot of time going to the parks. Disney has always been a second home to me. When I moved to California, I found a new home at Disneyland. There is no greater feeling than looking down Main Street and seeing the castle. That feeling multiplied and exploded when I got to experience that moment through my own children. They are now 5, 12 and 20 years old. In the last few years, we discover

ed Disney Cruise Line (Not sure why we waited so long!) It is now our go-to vacation when planning family or even adult only vacation time. My husband’s job relocated us to Texas a few years ago, and, we were thrilled that DCL sailed out of Galveston. It was like Disney came to me! I really enjoy planning vacations and parties of all sizes. I’m the type of person that carries an agenda with me where ever I go. I know what’s happening when and where at all times. Some people might think that planning is stressful, but, I actually find it to be a stress reliever when I know where we are having dinner and at what time. Friends started coming to me with Disney questions and asking me to help with their own vacations, so, I thought THIS! This is the PERFECT job for me! I have experience with both Disney Properties in the US, as well as Disney cruise line. I know what it’s like to be a child, a teenager, an adult AND a parent of a toddler, kid and teen at the parks/cruise. I can answer questions from experience and from the knowledge I have learned during my training to pursue this dream job. Let me help you create your own DISNEY memories. Disney is more than just a place. It’s a feeling. It’s a way of life.

Sorry I have been MIA. We’ve had a lot of personal things going on. Like, our Daughter got married! Next month our Son will graduate from High School and start college. Our youngest is about to go to middle school. It got me thinking… We only have a short amount of time with our kids while they are kids and they grow up so fast! Make as many memories as you can while you can. I’ll be heading to Walt Disney World tomorrow for Easter weekend. Stay tuned for some Easter egg updates. 🐰

Day 2 of summit has been non-stop exciting! Spent the morning and afternoon learning about Disney and about how I can be a better agent to you. We went on a field exercise to the Magic Kingdom and saw things from a few different perspectives. I also learned why the trees seem to never grow. It’s because they replace them! We had a wonderful lunch and then learned all Disney Cruise Line and updated information about the Disney Dining Plan. After learning from the Disney Institute I got to meet Mickey. We were then invited to enjoy a special dessert party and VIP viewing of EPCOT’s Luminous. What a great day! More fun times to experience tomorrow.

Day one of summit was a whirlwind! I met with over 20 vendors, had small round table discussions with some of them. I learned so much! Ended the evening with FTJ’s 15th anniversary awards gala where we were surprised with a private performance of “Happily Ever After!” I cried. Yes, I did. I was presented an award for working with FTJ for 9 years AND I won a super cute sparkly Disney bag. What a great day! Tomorrow is training with Disney most of the day and a surprise dessert party at EPCOT to watch Luminous.

I am SO excited to be back "home" later this week. I get to celebrate Fairytale Journeys Travel turning 15 at our annual summit. I'm looking forward to learning all the wonderful things Disney & our other vendors have to share with us. I'm also super excited to spend time with the other FTJ agents. And, of course, I'm excited about the Dole Whip. 😁
