The hard *truth about horses is that, unlike cats and dogs that live into their teens, horses often live easily into their 30s - which means they are often passed from one human to another (This is going off of human years of course.)

It is very uncommon for a horse to have one owner their entire life.

*This is not to shame anyone as we have all had to make hard decisions of re-homing horses. This post was merely a post about the interesting fact of how animals that have longer life spans live a different sort of life with having multiple owners, than that of animals with shorter life spans. 😊

We love looking back at last year's trail rides and the beautiful, peaceful moments our riders got to experience! 🤗

Even though this is a friendly game, these two horses are displaying a banter of dominance - to see who is the alpha horse. It's a horse's version of "Uncle." The first horse to step back is submitting to the other. Here in the video, you can see the horse on the left is moving forward. We don't know who won or lost this game, but it's a safe bet the horse on the left was upping his game. 😁
