Today we celebrate the mothers who gave us life, the mothers who are bringing life into the world, and the mother spirit we carry within us—the loving, nurturing, protective force of the Divine Feminine.

At a time when the world is feeling especially vulnerable, we are so grateful to celebrate the people who took care of us at our frailest moments. How grateful we are for the mothers that love us no matter what, for the grandmothers who have also mothered us, for the fathers who have also been mothers.

We've been making the most of the stay-at-home season by working on our veggie garden at Snowgrass: planting seedlings, creating a bigger composting pit, and putting love into our labor. One day (in a safer future), we hope you'll come see it in person.

Leavenworth just celebrated Maifest last weekend with parading mountain dogs, maipole dancing, chainsaw wood carving, alphorn blowing, and sun shining. Hope your weekend was good, too!

Spring may not be right around the corner in Leavenworth, but that's okay--the extra winter means extended skiing, silent nights, and frosty walks through an icy kingdom. Snowgrass Lodge on the River lies tucked in an idyllic landscape setting above the rushing waters of the Wenatchee. Boasting a dramatic view of Wedge Mountain and a sprawling lawn framed by shady pines, Snowgrass is a welcome retreat within walking distance of the golf course and downtown Leavenworth, the popular Bavarian-themed village in the Cascade Mountains. Owners Hernan Savastano and Angela Sucich fell in love with the natural beauty and easy pace of Leavenworth and the North Cascades many years ago. Heartwood House (formerly the Larkspur Lookout) and Snowgrass Lodge are part of their dream of creating a mountain sanctuary for people to enjoy. It's the ideal vacation rental for family & friend gatherings, birthday and anniversary celebrations, and corporate escapes.

Snowgrass is a private retreat with a community feel, and the space can support a range of interests and healing practices.
