Hey Folks just wanted to let you know that this page is being threatened to be permanently deleted. It's been 367 days since I posted anything on this page . Apparently somehow I've gone against community standards & hateful speech. Again. It's been a year since I posted anything here. I've appealed. Stay tuned. This is CRAP.

**Urgent notice ***
To all my friends and shearing clients patiently waiting for my annual email blast beginning the scheduling process for the 2023 tour, my computer has crashed and its impossible to send 500 emails from my phone. My computer is being worked on. I am still shearing for yet another season. I appreciate the calls, texts and messages inquiring about my health and shearing schedule. I am alive, well and still kicking. Praying that my computer will be up and running in a couple days. Hopefully email blast will be in you mail this weekend. Howdy,
I'm getting ready to begin the scheduling process for the 2021 Shearing Tour.
I'm looking for for a couple guys to join my crew.
The potential candidate must be able to travel/ be gone from home for 3-4 months. You must be clean, polite and be respectful of the owners and their animals. Understanding this is hard work and sometimes long hours. We travel from Georgia to Ohio to northern Maine. We shear alpacas, sheep, llamas and goats 7 days a week!!
All of your food and lodgings are provided.
You must be able to work well with your teammates.
You will learn the trade. Some of my former employees are now owning their own shearing businesses.
Job runs from late March to late June. The right employee may stay on till possibly late July .

Pay is based on number of animals per day. Average pay is $15,000. Plus tips. The more we work, the more we get paid.

After 125 days, 19,417 miles, 22 states, over 350 invoices, and countless memories we made it through the 2020 edition of the Jay Mariacher Shearing Services Tour.

I'd like to Thank Rufus, Jim and Luke for your help and dedication, Especially when I had to leave for my Father's funeral. I'd also like to Thank my son Elijah for the last 5 weeks of filling in on the crew. We had some good and bad times together, but we got the clients animals taken care of. And that's what counts!!

Yes, I'm still shearing cria and stragglers, but I'm spending the foreseeable future in my own bed!!
I'm humbled by the kindness and generosity of my clients whom even through the pandemic opened your barns and homes for us to tend to your livestock. It's just a short 5 months until I begin the scheduling process for 2021 season.

Friends, I am receiving several calls every day that your animals are HOT and need shorn ASAP. This weather is hard on me too. I'd rather not kill your animals of heat stress, while trying to save them. Shearing is being postponed for this weekend. I will resume shearing next Monday. You're on my list. I'll get to you.
