Registration is open for the Arc of Loudoun’s You Belong Here Disability Awareness and Accessibility Training!

This training will help businesses and their staff realize, understand and address the barriers people with all types of disabilities may face when they try to shop, stay or work at those businesses, and help businesses understand how people with disabilities might look for when finding and choosing a place to visit, shop or work.

When you complete the training you will receive a You Belong Here certification, valid for a year, and reference materials to take back to work for a refresher on the training any time.

The training is offered by The Arc of Loudoun. The Arc of Loudoun's mission is to advocate for, educate, serve and support people with disabilities. The Arc of Loudoun is committed to a just, equitable world for people with disabilities.

Below are the upcoming classes and locations:

Thursday, November 14, 3-5pm at the Rust Library, Conference Room B (380 Old Waterford Rd NW, Leesburg, VA 20176)

Monday, November 18, 9:30-11:30am at the Ashburn Library, Conference Room A (43316 Hay Rd, Ashburn, Virginia 20147

Tuesday, November 19, 10am-12pm at the Purcellville Library Carruthers Room (220 E Main St, Purcellville, VA 20132)

Costs for these classes is $25 per person.

The WETA local travel and adventure series Get Out of Town visits Middleburg, Virginia, the “Nation’s Horse and Hunt Capital.” Mother-daughter hosts Laurita & Lauren Portee experience the essence of horse and wine country. From the iconic Spring Races to wine blending at the Boxwood Estate Winery, the hosts engage in the community's intimate southern atmosphere. They stay at the Salamander Middleburg and the historic Red Fox Inn and enjoy delicious meals at local favorite Thaiverse and seafood staple King Street Oyster Bar.

Tune in to Get Out of Town - Middleburg on Monday, September 30 at 9 p.m. on WETA PBS, 8 p.m. on WETA Metro; and stream on the PBS App and at weta.org.

The Loudoun Tourism Industry is invited to join the Middleburg Barn to watch the reunion episode of "Farmer Wants a Wife", a Fox Entertainment TV show featuring The Middleburg Barn! The cast and crew filmed this episode on site at the Middleburg Barn last December.
