Truck or Treat
Saturday, Oct. 19 | 8–11 a.m.
Kids! Costumes! Trucks smashing pumpkins! Learn about the city’s municipal services equipment from the team who helps keep our city in tip top shape all year round.

Enchanted Forest
Thursday, Oct. 24 | 4–8 p.m.
This annual event transforms Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park for a night of
family-friendly entertainment.

Friday Night Sound Frights & Costume Contest
Friday, Oct. 25 | 5–10 p.m.
Regularly scheduled programming but with costumes! Enjoy live music, food and prizes for those who choose to dress for the occasion.

The heat is on! This weekend nearly 200 teams will compete in hopes of being named Grand Champion at the City of Lenexa, Kansas Chili Challenge.

Enjoy live music and fireworks tonight, then grab a spoon at the gate on Saturday to sample chili, hot wings, and salsa (while supplies last)!

Tonight is Red Friday Night Sound Bites at the Lenexa Public Market!

Put on your finest KC Chiefs fan gear and celebrate Red Friday with, live music, a fire show, food trucks, and KC Wolf at a special version of this City of Lenexa, Kansas block party co-hosted by Made in KC.

The annual Lenexa Spinach Festival is this Saturday, September 7th from 9am-4pm at Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park! Sample spinach dips from local restaurants, enter the spinach recipe contest, shop for art, crafts, and antiques, or just sit back and enjoy live music.
Kids’ activities include cane pole fishing, pedal boat rides, and the Swee'Pea Baby Crawling Contest.

Did you know, that in the 1930s-1940s, the City of Lenexa, Kansas
was called the Spinach Capital of the World for the abundant,
high-quality spinach grown by Belgian farmers who settled in Lenexa in the early 1900s? The KC Star even printed a cartoon of the character, Popeye driving a load of spinach away from Lenexa to the canneries of New York!
