#WhereisColinda? January 7 - After their beach day in Cozumel the World Cruisers had their first AZAmazing evening. They experienced an authentic performance of indigenous Mexican dancers, sky flyers and storytellers. She said it was AZAmazing! They had 2 At Sea days where they attempted to get their cabin a little more organized and learn the ins and outs of the ships. January 10 they arrived in Limon, Costa Rica where they had a Rainforest, Tram and River boat ride experience. They saw a lot of wildlife, including howler monkeys and even a few sloths! 🦥 They even saw one sloth slooooooowly climbing down a tree, most likely coming down to 💩! (They come down from their trees once a week or month to do their bidness. And of course I had to look that up to confirm and learned their 💩 is ginormous, possibly weighing a third of their body weight. 😳 #whoknew!) . The Gift of Giving

While in Mexico last week our group had the absolute joyful experience of engaging with a lovely Mayan family. The founders of @mexico_famtrips, @lori_swinderman and @scheimandaniel, befriended this family a few years ago. Now they open their arms and show them so much love. 🫶 They made us a wonderful home cooked meal (which is no small feat as they don’t have a kitchen as we are used to seeing…). The oven was a hole in the ground with coals to cook the chickens. It was delicious! This family of 30+ all live together in a few concrete structures with not much else. They sleep on hammocks or mats on the ground. They don’t have much but their love for each other was palpable and such kind people. When they took us to their shop in the front, there wasn’t anyway we could pass up buying their handmade dream catchers. 🪶 .. After spending time with them we stopped at the village center and opened our donation bags. The children of the village came running to see the goodies. The moms were so grateful to see diapers and wipes and shoes… 💖 It was a humbling, fantastic experience. #jillthetravelgal #mexicofamtrips #makeadifference
