With all the craziness at airports, we are driving to Florida next week.
And I kind of love it. 🤷🏻♀️
I pack lotsss of snacks and activities, and stop to sleep at a hotel on the way down . We make it as far as we can before grumpiness sets in on day one- Which gives us lots of time for pools or a great dinner reservation on arrival day!
(Plus -it’s a logistical nightmare to fit all of our elaborate hats in checked bags on airplanes - so viva la road trip !👒🤣. )
This is my bag for the hotel with our arrival day outfits, tough choices had to be made- because this is Gwen’s suitcase and it’s SMALL.

⚜️We’ll be staying at “ The Tiana Hotel !” as my 5 year old daughter lovingly refers to the Port Orleans: French Quarter Resort !

🛝has a great splash pad with water slides for smaller kids
🚤Water Taxi or “Friendship Boats” to Disney Springs
And gives you access to it’s larger sister resort : Port Orleans Riverside -
🏊♂️Which means you can enjoy the pools at both sections of Port Orleans
🍽 And of course, dining in both !
You can walk or take the boat it’s sister resort, Port Orleans Riverside- Both are very romantic and fun !!!

This fall, ghosts and ghouls of all ages are invited to don their favorite costumes and celebrate all things haunted during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. 👻🍫🎃🍂🍁🍬
Taking place on 37 select nights Aug. 12 through Oct. 31, 2022, this special event haunts Magic Kingdom Park after normal park operating hours from 7 p.m. to midnight.

As a part of this limited-capacity event, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party attendees will encounter event-exclusive entertainment, notorious Disney villains, frightfully delicious menu items and more!

The Headless Horseman will ride his ghostly steed down Main Street, U.S.A. as a prelude to “Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade,” which features floats filled with Disney Characters dressed in their Halloween best, Disney villains and the Haunted Mansion graveyard diggers.
What’s Halloween without candy? During Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, guests can go trick-or-treating for M&M’S, SKITTLES, SNICKERS, and other Halloween favorites at locations throughout Magic Kingdom Park. And new this year, guests will also receive a reusable trick-or-treat bag featuring a keepsake 50th Anniversary celebration and Halloween design.
Join the Sanderson Sisters during the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” stage show at Cinderella Castle as they call upon their frightening colleagues to conjure the ultimate “Hocus Pocus” Party Potion.
Celebrate the season alongside favorite Disney characters as they take over the park for their favorite party of the year.
Overlays themed for the occasion will return to several popular Magic Kingdom attractions: Space Mountain, Mad Tea Party, Pirates
Flying to your next vacation destination?
Masks are now optional for United, Delta, Southwest, & American Airlines (potentially more, I just personally checked those airline's pressrooms).
Customers or employees on domestic flights, select international flights (dependent upon the arrival country's requirements) or at U.S. airports do not have to wear a mask if they do not wish to.
More comfortable keeping yours on? Go right ahead… the choice is yours either way! 🙂
