Forget how much I love this property until I spend some time walking in the 15 acres of woods. Only sounds are an array of birds. Kicked up a deer and two chipmunks. This year we have decided to open up the cabin for November and December (previously closed for 6 weeks but due to demand have decided keep it ooen). Enjoy November fall days or cooler December weather while watching wildlife, wandering the 15 acres of woods, roasting marshmallows in either the outdoor firepit or indoor wood burning fireplace, or soaking in the soothing waters of the hot tub! New dates available in August! Had blocked for family member and we’ve made other plans for getting together so cabin has just opened back up for August.

15 wooded acres, peaceful, secluded, private hot tub. Close to marina for fishing (5 minutes), 5 minutes to The Infield with go karts, mini golf and batting cage, 5 minutes to Ohio Bird Sanctuary, close to Ohio State Reformatory & Shawshank Trail, 20 minutes to Mohican for a day of canoeing, 15 minutes from Kingwood Center Gardens with acres of beautiful flowers, 5 minutes from B&O Bike Trails and more.

Hickory Creek Cabin still has some dates available for this summer, mostly weekdays but a few weekends left as well. Spend a couple days at the cabin and leave feeling refreshed and recharged. Enjoy canoeing at Mohican, fishing at Clearfork Marina or Pleasant Hill, visit the Mansfield Reformatory where Shawshank was filmed, Kingwood Center Gardens with acres of beautiful flowers, Ohio Bird Sanctuary, Gorman Nature Center, or just enjoy the 15 wooded acres at the cabin. Bird watch from the front porch or from the soothing hot tub, make s’mores and relax by the fire ring (s’mores and firewood provided of course), walk in the woods where fairies and gnomes can be found as well as a labyrinth.
