What's the best part of waking up that first morning on vacation?
For me, it's that first cup of tea I'll sip as I listen to the ocean, watch the sun rise, and anticipate all the fun experiences I have planned.
What's your favorite first-morning thing about being on vacation?
POV: A fall getaway to the Caribbean
Who says the Caribbean can't be cozy? Here are my top picks for resorts/hotels to get away to this fall if you're looking for comfortable relaxation at a slower pace.
Grenada is the perfect option. It is home to stunning resorts, gorgeous beaches, and romantic suites.
I know, I know. How dare I speak about Fall when we've still got lots of summer days left? But I wouldn't be a good travel advisor if I didn't give you that nudge to start planning early, and since Fall is just around the corner, we're getting down to the wire.
If you're inspired by any of the resorts I mentioned above or have somewhere else in mind, let's chat. I can help you finalize and book everything.
That first morning...
Coffee in hand, the wind in your hair, and the open sea. Is there anything better than that first morning onboard?
You can only choose two.
No questions, I'm picking #2 and #4. What about you?

Your vacation time is WAY too valuable to be disappointed when you get there.
So many things affect whether your vacation is good or bad:
→ The resort/hotel and where it's located.
→ The quality of the room you're staying in.
→ The local experiences and tours you book.
→ Amenities available at your hotel.
→ The local food and wine you get to experience.
And this is only the start of what I consider when I make recommendations and plan an itinerary for a client.
Let's not leave your level of satisfaction with your next getaway to chance!
Get in touch and let's chat about how I can help.
I'll be honest. I don't know why so many people put up with the endless Google searches, Internet reviews, and overall chaos and confusion that comes with planning trips themselves.
Especially people who don't really enjoy doing all of the nitty-gritty. Call a great travel advisor because the alternative is so much better!
What you need is a travel advisor who can:
🏨 Serve up resort or hotel options that match your trip.
🌊 Help you get clear on what activities and experiences are worth doing in the destination — or maybe none. Sometimes, all you need is time to starfish on a beach lounger.
🔎 Research and book everything for you so you don't have to lift a finger ✨ Jump in and assist if you have any challenges on your trip. It can absolutely be that easy!
Ready when you are to start planning. It all begins with a DM.

My comments and DMs are always open.
Sometimes, the solution is as simple as getting out of your head and your environment and seeing another part of the world.
But can we talk for a minute about the quality of your Holiday? It could be a quick 4-night getaway to Napa or a two-week stay in Greece. Here are a few things I've found make all the difference in whether my trips (and my clients' trips) are great instead of just average.
Personalization - This one is totally underestimated, but there are so many places you can go to and hundreds of thousands of hotels and resorts where you can stay. My picks and recommendations are based on all of the information I file away about my clients and how they specifically like to travel.
Pre-Planning - It's a dream when you can arrive at the destination with the little details already taken care of. The airport transport company is waiting, or the rental car company; your tours and experiences are taken care of, so you can breathe easily.
An Advocate - When flights get moved or canceled, or you decide you want to stay longer, it's nice to have someone who can step in and move mountains to make things happen quicker for you so you can enjoy your time, not spend it on hold or at the front desk. Just a few things to consider to elevate your next Holiday ✨
Pesky summer travel hiccups + what to do about them
➡️ Seat Swap Surprises So, you’ve checked in online and picked your seats, but then you get to the airport and... surprise! They’ve changed.
What to Do: Head straight to the gate desk (not the ticketing counter). Gate agents are your best friends here—they can help fix the seating situation or find someone willing to switch seats.
➡️ Your bags are MIA
What to do: Find the airline’s baggage desk near the baggage claim area and file a claim before you leave the airport. If you can’t locate the desk, call the airline ASAP to report your missing luggage. Hang on to those receipts for any essentials you need to buy—keep it reasonable (no designer splurges, unfortunately). Then, when you’re back, file a claim with your travel insurance.
If you got
➡️ Delayed and canceled flights
What to do: Check the Department of Transportation (DOT) Dashboard. If the delay is within the airline’s control, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Airline Customer Service Dashboard will show you what each airline should do to compensate you.
➡️ Not Loving Your Hotel Room: Your room’s not up to par? Here’s how to get it sorted
What to do: Ask for the manager. Call from your room or go to the front desk and ask to speak to a manager. Be specific about the issues and honest about what resolution you’re seeking.
➡️ Rental Car Issues
What to do: If your rental car isn’t what you expected, contact the rental company’s customer service. They might be able to upgrade or switch your vehicle. Always check the car for damage before driving off the lot and report any issues immediately.
I hope you don't encounter any of these hiccups this summer, but if you do, use this as your quickstart guide to problem-solving. Enjoy these blissful summer days!
The ultimate travel flex?
When you can both kick back and relax because your travel advisor planned everything for you. ✨
As in, both of you get to relax, the burden of planning doesn't fall on one person, and you both know where to be and when (because it's in your itinerary!).
Hotel, resort, and villa suggestions tailored to you, experiences with the best local companies and guides, airport transfers, rental cars, ferry tickets — I have you covered!
When you're ready to easily travel the world, give me a shout!
Fall in Europe is the absolute best, but you need someone else to stress about the trip's details and logistics.
Hand over the Pinterest board and all of your ideas, and let me turn them into an actual itinerary and a trip so you can sit back and dream about how that Limoncello Spritz will taste after the summer crowds have left.
When your only plans are a little spa evening in your hotel room overlooking the ocean.
🛁 Life doesn't get any better than this!
Are there other busy couples out there who could use a break and a soak in this tub? 🙋♀️
Jonny went crazy doing Reels this week!
There are a lot of fantastic safari lodges out there with the absolute best of the best amenities. But I would argue that the most significant luxury on safari is the location of your lodge. National parks are the most well-known and have the best reputation, but it’s the lesser-known reserves that offer a better safari experience, in my opinion.
National Parks
➡️ Don’t allow off-roading, walking safaris, bush meals, and night game drives.
➡️ Often have several vehicles at each animal sighting.
➡️ Park entrances have a queue at opening and closing. Private Game Reserves
➡️ Owned by a group of safari lodges
➡️ Fewer crowds on game drives, 2 vehicles maximum usually
➡️ Allow walking safaris, bush meals, night game drives, sleep-outs, etc.
➡️ Lodges can still operate game drives inside nearby national parks.
That’s not to say you should skip national parks; they’re famous for a reason. As your safari expert and planner, we work together to decide what’s important to you and pick lodges accordingly. Sometimes, it means sticking with national parks. Sometimes, it means staying at neighboring private reserves but scheduling game drives through nearby national parks. It’s all tailored to you, your preferences, and the safari experience you want.
Do you have any questions about safaris? Don’t hesitate to send me a DM.
