Mother’s Day is around the corner. 🌺 Being the mother to three small boys, I (Meg) have a lot to celebrate every day. I also sometimes forget to celebrate myself, or tend to myself beyond basic needs. If you’re like me, and deeply in an incredible yet often all consuming season of caregiving, this retreat was designed specifically with you in mind. The Heart of the West was created for y o u.
We’re offering you an opportunity to tend to your heart, be open to any feelings that arise, sit in the quiet maybe only hearing the sound of the breeze, water or birds. It’s an opportunity to explore passions that maybe haven’t been given much time lately, or maybe they will be newly discovered. It’s a safe space to pause, to connect with the land, to learn with one another, to share stories together.
We are constantly encouraging our children to notice, to wonder, to appreciate the world around them and the creatures they encounter. We feel joy, and pride, when their little voices shriek at the sound of the cranes, when their eyes widen in search of turtles as we slowly drive past the pond, when their fingers are muddy and hands filled with wiggly worms from the puddles and garden.
Through guided artistic practices, grounding movement across the landscape, and solo reflection time, we hope you experience and rekindle that same ability to notice, wonder and appreciate. We celebrate those young lives that we nurture and guide everyday, and also realize that taking a pause from our daily caregiving role, finding a change of pace, allowing ourselves to turn inward, may actually be the best way to show up for our loved ones when we return.
For the caregiver, mothering figure in your life, what a GIFT this experience could be! Or, treat yourself to this time in the Centennial. Anyone who identifies as a woman is welcome! Reach out to me with any questions, and take advantage of our spring s a l e this month.
I’m looking forward to connecting with you! [email protected]
