🇺🇸 Headed to Lincoln City for 4th of July festivities? We have lots of fun activities lined up for you — as well as free parking and shuttle!

All the fun starts in the Taft District with live music beginning at 12:00 pm. Then, in the evening, you’ll enjoy the spectacular firework display over Siletz Bay, at approximately 10:00-10:30 pm.

This year's live music line-up includes performances by:

🎉 Hecktic Week

🎉 Strawberry Roan

🎉 Hellcats

Parking is permitted in the public parking lots and on the street throughout the Taft District. You can also park at Taft High School starting at 6:00pm. Shuttle service will make the rounds from Taft High School to the Taft Park area until 1:00am. This area of Lincoln City becomes very busy during July 4th. Please be patient, exercise caution, and plan ahead!

🎇 Also… Fireworks aren’t permitted in city or state parks or on Oregon beaches. So just come enjoy the display over Siletz Bay instead!

And remember to help keep our beaches clean by packing in and packing out. We’ll have extra trash receptacles on SW 51st St. for you.

Over the last couple of years I have had multiple guests ask me whether they can split the cost of their stay on multiple credit cards. My home is often rented by multiple families or multiple family members, and they want to share the costs without one person having the burden of several thousand dollars charged to their credit card and then have to play bill collector to their friends and/or family.

There hasn't been a great option for Vacation Rental Owners because accepting multiple forms of payment can be a huge hassle. We are worried about potential fraud, wondering who is accountable for damages, how to handle refunds, etc. I think most owners have just opted to only accept one form of payment which doesn’t really help our guests.

Recently, my friend and fellow vacation home owner, Katie Lamb, launched a new company called VOOT, which can be found at wevoot.com.

VOOT let’s people share costs UP FRONT when they book together. Everyone pays their portion then the VR owners are paid with just ONE card and ONE point person. Basically, business as usual for the VR Owner. Another great perk for the guests is that if they are refunded any money(cancellations/deposits), VOOT automatically refunds it to all parties in the same proportion that they contributed. So much easier for the person planning for the group!

I have started directing my guests to Voot and am excited about how it can help my guests simplify their payshare experience!
