Stone Age inhabitants were in southern Sweden(present-day province of Skåne) at least as early as 7000 BC, according to archaeological evidence on the mainland. At Kullaberg(Northwest peninsula in the province of Skåne) there is clear evidence of habitation found from tool findings, gravefields and stone circles. Later Iron Age peoples are also known to have inhabited the Kullaberg. The first written information about Kullaberg derives from about the year 1740 AD when Swedish naturalist Carl von Linné visited the area and recorded biological notes. You will see Kullaberg area on the Sweden Highlights Tour in June of 2023.

When driving the backroads, it can been seen above, from the old road closer to Lake Vättern.
