Well, we did it! We came up with a plan, vacation is booked, and airfare is booked! It is a cruise! Any guesses which cruise line and which ports? Clue: We have sailed this line before, 3 of the ports are new to all of us, and 1 port is new to 2 of us!

So…the hot topic around our house this week has been where and when to go for our family vacation in 2025! And when I say I have used my skills as both a travel agent and an attorney to come up with options we can all agree on, I am not kidding!! Negotiations have been A LOT! 😂🤣 Having two college kids whose academic calendars are very different, combined with the fact that they are young adults who are planning trips independently of mom and dad plus summer internships makes for some creative compromises!

In 2018, I brought our daughter Alex to NYC for the first time. She fell in love with the city. And now, she attends school in Manhattan. Because of that I have come up quite a bit. We all love NYC. And I love planning NYC Trips for clients.

We have stayed at several different hotels throughout the city. I love finding places to stay (and eat) that aren’t standard fare we can get back home or anywhere else.

Our favorite hotel is on 54th Street and 6th Avenue/Avenue of the Americas. It was built in 1926 by William Randolph Hearst for his girlfriend Marion Davies who waa performing next door as the feature in Ziegfeld Follies. It is a 4-star luxury hotel with a history of hosting The Beatles, Elvis, James Dean and more! Cary Grant lived here for 12 years! Gosh, I love the history!

The feel is Old Hollywood Glamour! Luxurious fabrics and chandeliers with touches of crystal, silver and gold everywhere. Topped off by charming staff dressed smartly - who happen to be some of the friendliest New Yorkers around!

Y’all, we are exhausted, but we had a super fun day at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Parks! We rode 16 different rides thanks to using Lightning Lanes and strategically planning - and we rode Incredicoaster 3 times! We saw shows, met characters, ate yummy food and left at 5:00 p.m. because we had logged over 20,000 steps by then just for today. We are plain ol’ done in!
