CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Operator

Faro Imaging is seeking a CNC Operator. The CNC operator will be responsible for producing machine components using a computer numerical, or CNC, machine and programming, operating, and implementing machine processes while maintaining company safety and quality expectations. Primary responsibilities include:
• Operate Zund L-3000CV Digital Cutting System and Trotec SP2000 Laser Cutter.
• Follow all company policies and safety protocols.
• Set up equipment using proper calibration procedures.
• Strictly follow guidelines for operating machinery.
• Perform inspections of the work area and machines at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.
• Create cut files using I-cut and Adobe Illustrator.
• Set machine coordinates or index points including offset/compensations, tool heights, and edge finders.
• Use wall saw, table saw, guillotine cutter, corner rounders, and others.
• Troubleshoot problems and repair machines as needed.
• Use careful attention to detail to ensure quality.
The CNC Operator will also assist in other departments including but not limited to, shipping, delivery, maintenance, and finishing. We’re looking for a team player who can complete primary job functions and assist other team members as needed. Other responsibilities may include:
• Work with shipping and packaging to ensure projects are received on time.
• Quality check projects prior to packaging.
• Deliver projects and pick up purchase orders.
• Manage and organize warehouse inventory.
• Assist with maintenance and repairs on other machines.
• Perform finishing tasks on projects such as heat bending, adding French cleats, and more.
• Perform other duties and working with team members as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
• Valid driver’s license
• Developed verbal communication skills
• Excellent judgement and attention to detail
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Familiarity with standard industry programming technology (preferred, but willing to train)
• Experience with CNC (preferred, but willing to train)
