Every host in Airbnb community understands that there's a battlefield in the platform. No matter how you do well on your bookings, excellent location etc. but still least recognized by potential guests and there's a call for attention to increase exposure. Have you read about the most recent changes about the cancellation? Effective August 22nd, Airbnb has updated the policy stating that if the host cancels a reservation, penalty fee ranging to $50 - $1000 will be deducted to the payout. This sounds very alarming.

Does anyone here agree that Airbnb is always biased on the side of the guest and not the host? I believe that it remains a challenge to host like us to deal with the guest especially if you did everything you can but still they're not satisfied with the service? Adding personal touches to make your guests feel at home during their stay goes a long way. Not only do they leave a lasting impression but also helps them feel comfortable and relaxed in their home away from home experience.

For me, I like adding a few small touches like fresh flowers from the garden, or a book they can read during their stay.
