I'm so happy to know that the vision of bringing people to the town in the manner is working out! This group left great messages on all the cache logs too!
The log for this specific one says "We love those types of geocaches.. Learned quite a lot about the history of the area. We even got an impromptu tour of the Christie House. Wow!! What an incredible gem this town has in that house. The kids had a blast biking around town on a quiet Sunday to complete this tour. Thanks for taking the time to set up this cache."

Something to keep in mind while you're out geocaching. The LPPD do know about all of our local caches but I don't know that every officer knows the exact locations of them.

Geocaches—objects hidden for hobbyist trackers to find—are inadvertently bringing out police bomb squads.

My FAVORITE geocache yet is officially published!!!!! Yay!!!! Go find it people! Don't let the "mystery" part scare you it's well tested and should be easy!
Plus it's a tour of Long Prairie!!!

Solve the mystery and then use a smartphone or GPS device to navigate to the solution coordinates. Look for a regular hidden container. When you find it, write your name and date in the logbook. If you take something from the container, leave something in exchange. The terrain is 1.5 and difficulty…

This is a news story featuring eskoclimber. We met him a few months ago at the Minnesota Geocaching Associations spring event. He's pretty cool, and the kids were very excited to meet this "legend"

An Esko man is at the center of a national craze that’s growing in the Northland.

Just an small update to show you all that people in the area (as well as out-of-towners) Love what we've been working on!
These are some excerpts from logs on the geocaches that have already been placed. They are not the logs in full and there are also MANY more logs on each one. These are just the pieces that pertain to the tourism aspect of is and my goal.
Thank You for all of your continued support!

Let's Drive Back to 1956 (GC5R3FH)
MN Buzzards - What a fun cache & a great trip down memory lane. We remember the ol' dusk to dawn happenings at these local establishments - what a great time! Thanks for another great Todd County cache! We'll definitely give this one a fave!
FollowHimJn10:27 - Brings back great memories and I hope to return some summer evening to enjoy the big screen under the stars. TFTC Taylebell and all your work in the community promoting geocaching.
BigChiefS4 - I grew up in Browerville and have lots of friends in LP so it was kinda neat to revisit my old stomping grounds. I remember going to this theater back in the late 80's. I met one of my first GF's here, Melissa. Ahh, memories. Nicely done cache, too. Another fav point for the hide and the location and the memories.
MelieBug- I got to listen to my dad reminisce about the good ol' days.
xMoscatox - So many memories from this place! Thank you
L500 - Quick find on a sunny day. I appreciate the tour of the town that geocaching has provided- what a unique location!
dustinpoetry - Fun find, will come back often during different, darker hours.

Every Ballpark Needs a Flag (GC5R3DH)
xMoscatox - This has been the best day caching and the most original caches I have ever had the pleasure of finding! THANK YOU!!!
Steinhofer - Best day I've ever had! Very clever and very fun day!
BigCheifS4 - Wow, this CO has earned a bunch of fav points from me today! This was VERY well done. This was my favorite cache of the day. I wish I could give it two fav points. I hope to see more from this CO!

I Tip My Hat to You Good Sir! (GC5RXT4)
Lagunatic - So happy to have found this!! As a Hats Off owner, I am proud to have it here!! Thanks, Geocaching!!
cfey12 - Loved the hiding Place
BigChiefS4 - Fav point added for the creativity and the neat location. We went inside and had a muffin and some coffee and chatted with the owner for a bit.
canterandrace - Ingenious hide, quite unexpected for a cache in the middle of town. Thanks for bringing us here.
Pretty Lights - Fun find Long prairie's are the best !!!! TFTC

I Wanna Drive a Zamboni (GC5R3EN)
xMoscatox - Thanks for another fantastic cache! This is my favorite area to cache in, always the best finds!

Lock N Locke (GC5R3CV)
dougtll - Pretty cool, kids loved this one.
MNBuzzards - Really enjoyed finding this cool little park that we didn't know existed. One of us worked in LP for some years back in the 80's but didn't have occasion to drive around this area very much, if at all. We loved the hide and the container. THANKS for the fun!
Jordan Jacobson - Yeah first one I found can't wait for more
FollowHimJn10:27 - Out with CO and friends after her Geocaching 101 class. Fun hide and quick find. Enjoyed learning a little history too! Thanks once again Taylebell. Love the variety of your containers!!
dustinpoetry - An accidental find while out playing with the kids. They loved it! Nice, introductory experience for them
Steinhofer -Very easy find. My grandmothers first!
xMoscatox - Great cache!!! Thank you
lakebeautyhillbilly - It was fun

For Your Reference (GC5QK08)
MNBuzzards - ~FTF~ @ 2:43PM ON 5/27/15! Hard to believe that someone didn't find it before now. What a great idea for a cache! Celebrating our 40th anniversary (early) with a little caching and a surprise FTF bonus. THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT FUN!
BigChiefS4 - I love doing these types of caches and this CO had proven to be a good hider. I hope to see more!
MelieBug - Found with my dad, BigChiefS4 on a beautiful day. He made the find while I stood by and watched. I like libraries but this one is pretty small :)

Diagon Alley, Speak Clearly (GC5QJZQ)
BigChiefS4 - This was a nicely done multi. The stages were clear and easy to read. It didn't take us long to find the final stage and the area was really cool. MelieBug commented that this would be a good place to film a horror movie. It's very cool back here. Fav point added for the fun multi and the very well done final container. I hope it lasts a long time as it was well worth the effort. The D/T rating is spot on.
MelieBug - The final was kinda creepy but cool at the same time.
dustinpoetry - Kids love this find!

As a mom, I am always looking for fun new ways to educate my children. I want them to be learning constantly without even realizing it. As a small town community member, I spend many hours volunteering to make our little town a better place to raise families. A few years ago my family stumbled a...
