As a single mother to two children, my priorities were focused on caring for my family and getting a good education for a new career in the corporate world. Be it fate or destiny – I met and married the love of my life. Our time, however, was cut short when he died in an accident. Life as I knew it had suddenly turned upside down. While working through the grief and the loss of my late husband, I

found my voice. I needed to share my stories of romance, true-life struggles, and triumphs. And so, I put pen to paper for my novel in the Illumination series. Names, dates, locations, and details have been changed for privacy purposes. I’ve since fallen in love, again, and re-married to another wonderful man. He read my manuscript and couldn’t put it down. He cried. He laughed. He believes in me and supports my wish to become a full-time author. I built the confidence to complete my first book in the Illumination series. Now, I am living my dream. Outside of writing, you’ll find me on the beach. I love all things water. It’s my personal mission to help others thrive in the face of adversity. It’s my purpose to educate and motivate the population to protect their hearts and finances prior to life’s seismic ups and downs. One of my passions has been to help widows and widowers navigate through the same challenges I faced upon my late husband’s death.

Television icon Phil Donahue, who helped pioneer the talk show format, has died at age 88 following a long illness. A statement from his family says he was surrounded by loved ones, including his wife, Marlo Thomas, when he died.
