Property update – Friday December 13th

We are overjoyed that this will be our final post Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton property update. By this time next week, we will be getting all the final touches in place to welcome guests back onto the property after almost three months! If you missed our previous update, we will be opening December 21st!

As we mentioned in our last update, the property will still be opening with a temporary pool fence while we wait for our permanent fence to come in. We do not have a date for the install but will update all guests as soon as we have one. Other than the temporary pool fence, the grounds will all be back to normal.

We are working hard to get the last of the units available and ready. If your unit will not be ready by your arrival day, we will contact you directly and work to get you another unit if possible. There will likely still be some inside unit work being done after the open date, but we are working hard to make that minimal.

Thank you again for all the kind words and encouragement throughout this process, we cannot wait to welcome everyone back!

Property update – Friday December 6th

We are happy to report that we will be opening the property on schedule December 21st, 2024.

This will be a soft opening with a temporary pool fence while we wait for our permanent pool fence to come in. As soon as our contractor has the fence, we will be scheduling the install, and the pool will close temporarily while that work is done. We do not have a date for the install but will update all guests as soon as we have one. Other than the temporary pool fence, the grounds will all be back to normal.

We are working hard to get the last of the units available and ready. If your unit will not be ready by your arrival day, we will contact you directly and work to get you another unit if possible.

Though we love all our contactors that have been helping us along the way, we are so excited to have guests back on property!

We do ask that you continue to have patience and understanding with us as we work hard these next two weeks to get ready for your arrival. There will likely still be some inside unit work being done after the open date, but we are working hard to make that minimal.

Property update – Friday November 22nd

We want to take the time to thank all our guests for the kind words and support throughout this process. It has not gone unnoticed. We also want to thank all the contractors helping both us and the island. Everything is looking better and better every day.

We continue to work on and release units back to the rental division. This week work began on both the pool deck and lawn.

Our property continues to be closed to anyone who is not an owner, employee, or hired vendor.

We have our office phones up from 9:30am to noon EST weekdays. If you are having trouble getting through via phone, please email us at [email protected]. We are still aiming for our tentative reopen date of December 21st, 2024, but this is subject to change.

Property update - Friday November 15th

The best news of the week is that our pool is back to its beautiful self and operational! We still have work to do on the pool deck and fence, but just seeing the pool clean and full of water is a huge win. We continue to have more ground floor units released from our contractor back to the rental division each week. As we have said in pervious posts, we were already planned to be closed for the first three weeks in December for maintenance. We are happy to report that we were able to start most of those projects early and they are moving along nicely.

Our property continues to be closed to anyone who is not an owner, employee, or hired vendor.

Property update - Friday November 8th

Our property continues to be closed to anyone who is not an owner, employee, or hired vendor.

Due to Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton, we have cancelled all reservations through November. Our property was already planned to be closed the first three weeks of December prior to the hurricanes for property maintenance. We have set a tentative goal of reopening for guests December 21st, 2024. This date is subject to change.

After the restoration company finished any remediation that was necessary, the units were transferred over to our contactor who has been hard at work with any repairs necessary. We are happy to report that we have already had units transferred from the contactor back to the rental division for cleaning. We hope to be able to start giving individual unit updates soon, and we appreciate your patience.

As for the grounds, we have almost lost track of all the contractors who have showed up for us. Pool, walkways, landscaping, irrigation, pavers, and soffit/gutter contractors have all assessed what needs done and are all are moving forward. We see more and more contractors onsite each week. We thank every one of our contractors for their hard work and efforts on our behalf.

Property update - Friday November 1st

Our property remains closed to anyone who is not an owner, employee, or hired vendor.

Due to Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton, our property will remain closed through what was a pre-storm planned closure date of December 21st, 2024. Our tentative goal is to open back up December 21st with as much of the property back to normal as possible. This date is subject to change.

We are currently not giving updates on specific ground floor units. None of our second-floor units have damage. We are officially in the rebuild stage and things are moving along well. A huge thank you to all the contractors helping us along the way.

Property update - Friday October 25th

Our property is closed to anyone who is not an owner, employee, or hired vendor.

Due to Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton, we have cancelled all reservations with arrival dates through November 30th, 2024. Our property will remain closed through what was a pre-storm planned closure date of December 21st, 2024.

We are currently not giving updates on specific ground floor units. We are working with a restoration company and are almost through the drying and demo process. Next will be the reconstruction process and preparations for that are already being made as well.

The sand removal from the pool and pool room is nearly complete. Thank you to the team helping us accomplish that tough job! We do not have specific dates on any repairs at this time as we and the rest of the area are all doing the best we can to navigate the post storms situation. Vendors have been onsite to start the ordering process for materials.

Starting Monday, October 28th, 2024, the staff will be in office to answer the phones from 9:30am to noon EST (weekdays only). We ask that if you do not need to call the office and can email instead, please email us at [email protected]. With limited staff, we want to make sure we are helping those who need immediate assistance via phone.

Due to Hurricane Milton much of our area is without power, so our updates may be limited. We have been able to access the property, and though we have more damage it is relatively minimal considering how close we were to the eyes landfall. All of our staff is safe and working to assess their homes, based on current updates damage is minimal.

Our office remains closed and our property is closed to anyone who is not an owner, employee, or hired vendor.

We have cancelled all reservations with arrival dates through November. If you have a reservation arriving with us before November 30th, please check your email, you should have correspondence from us. If you do not, please reach out to us at [email protected]. We ask for your patience as we likely won’t be able to respond or process refunds until we get power back. And once we get power we will likely again only able to communicate via email.

We know everyone is concerned about the property. We ask that you please only take updates about our property from us. Currently all reservations are cancelled through October 31st, 2024. Our property is closed to anyone who is not an owner, employee, or hired vendor.

We are working hard on sand removal and continuing to assess damage. We are hoping to get the office back up and running soon. Our pool area sustained the most damage but amazingly all our tiki huts survived. We do have some ground floor units that sustained damage while some did not. We are currently not giving updates on specific units as assessments are still being done.
