Super excited to announce that our Microlot Burundi, Ecuador, and El Salvador are now available in downtown Lyons! We will be sampling all three coffees this Saturday and Sunday from 11a-1pm (look for the truck in the East parking lot). Stop on by and say hi and pick yourself up a bag!

We are super excited to announce the arrival of two new very special microlot coffees! The first is from the El Faldon Farm in Columbia. This microlot coffee has tasting notes of cranberry, apple, and chocolate. The second is from the Kayanza region of Burundi. This microlot coffee has tasting notes of grapefruit and chocolate. Both are now available for online order and free local delivery.

One of the things we emphasize is the importance of fresh roasted coffee, but is there such a thing as too fresh? You may have noticed that some of your favorite local coffee roasters including us have a 3-4 day gap between the roast date and delivery date. This is done on purpose to give the coffee a chance to “off-gas” or release carbon dioxide. Those beans have gone through a traumatic process while being roasted and need to a few days to recover before being brewed. For the best cup of coffee give those beans a chance to “set up”, but don’t wait too long as the freshness clock is ticking.

No Monday back to work blues here. It’s roast day! Get yourself some local fresh roasted coffee!
