Remembering Mt St Helens March 27th, 1980
The first signs of the catastrophic eruption of Mt St Helens began to unfold on this day 45 years ago. Seismic activity and steam explosions marked the start of the unforgettable chapter in history. Little did the world know, these early signs were the beginning of one of the most devastating eruptions in US History. By May 18th the eruption would unleash an explosive force, reshaping the mountain and leaving a lasting mark on the environment and the people who witnessed it.

Flashback Friday!
In the spring of 1962, adventurers made their way to the summit of Mount St Helens, long before the eruption in 1980. The mountain is known for its stunning views and challenging terrain, was a popular destination for those seeking to experience of the Cascade Range.
