Day 14 - 1/27/24 - Cruising the South Pacific

We selected our deck chairs and I realized I was a little too late for breakfast. They suggested I call room service, so I went to our cabin to request a small omelet. Our butler was checking our cabin when I returned and asked what I was doing and he said he would take care of it. Before I knew it, breakfast was served. The ship does our laundry, but there are certain items I prefer to hang to dry, so I used the passenger laundry room. The butler asked me why I was doing that and said he will have the ships laundry place the clothes on hangers that I don’t want to go in the dryer. Having a butler in indescribable, and I adore ours. I went to the choral group and we sang songs from Les Miserables, which is one of my favorites. Lunch was excellent and afterwards, we lounged by the pool until trivia. Trivia was difficult today and we missed 3rd place by 1 question. We had a wonderful dinner with other ATW guests and discussed our possible options if the ship reroutes to Africa, instead of going through the Suez Canal. Tonight’s show featured an adorable magic couple. Tomorrow is our last sea day before we reach Rangiroa. I admit that we love sea days and wish we had more of them.

I am proudly celebrating 40 years in the travel industry as President of Uniglobe Adventure Travel. I opened the door to my business in 1982. I am a Certified Travel Counselor and a Master Cruise Counsellor, which less than 10% of my peers hold. My motto is, “It’s the service after the sale that counts!” As a leader in the industry, it has been an honor to sit on various travel boards as a liaison.

I have been the recipient of the most prestigious and meaningful awards, including the Rising Star of the Year Award from Sabre (American Airlines), Travel Agent of The Year from Worldspan Datas II (Delta Airlines), Franchise of the Year from Uniglobe for the Highest Yearly Growth, Sandals and Beaches Preferred Travel Agent, and Marriott Preferred Travel Agent. I have received special recognition from multiple cruise lines, tour companies and car rental companies.

The travel industry has evolved, as did many industries, but is very much alive. My motto, “It’s the service after the sale that counts!” is more prevalent in todays’ travel market. I am my clients voice, whereas a click of the mouse is only a purchase. I am the voice of knowledge, the voice reason, and the voice of protection. I know where my clients are and even texted a client during a terrorist attack to advise them to leave the area. ALL my clients received 100% of their funds and didn’t suffer any losses from covid cancellations. These past few years have been a challenge and I worked tirelessly, without compensation to do what was right.

I am a professional travel consultant and love my profession. I have first-hand experience and have traveled worldwide. Remember that the world is an open book. Live each day to the fullest and travel securely by utilizing a professional travel consultant to be your voice.

I just saved a client an additional $1380 on a cruise and over $300 on the airfare. I still get excited when I save clients money after the deposit or final payment is made. Sometimes we have to toot our own horns. I still LOVE what I do and am happy to say that I’ve owned my travel company for 37 years. My Motto is ... It’s the service after the sale that counts💖 FYI ... an internet agency will not look to see if your price dropped. They will not do the extra work to make less money. Use a Professional Travel Agent who really cares about you💗
