They’re taking a stock Jeep XJ and turning it into a full-blown race rig—right on the lakebed in Johnson Valley. No high-end facility, no endless access to tools—just a small crew out in the desert building something badass off-grid.
We’re pumped to be a part of this build. Rudy’s throwing a ton of our RuffStuff parts into this XJ, and we can’t wait to see how it holds up when he sends it at King of the Hammers next week. Turning a stock XJ into a race rig in the middle of nowhere? That’s the kind of build we can get behind.

Our Panhard/Track Bar kit is a fantastic universal upgrade to help keep your axle in place.
If you’ve got any kind of lift on your rig, your front axle has likely shifted toward the driver’s side. To fix it, you need an adjustable panhard bar and the right brackets—just swapping one or the other won’t cut it for proper geometry. Our all-in-one panhard bar kit takes out the guesswork: you get brackets for your axle and frame (choose offset or centered based on your setup), heavy-duty 7/8” heims, DOM tubing, and hardware to make adjustments easy.
