US to end Covid-19 testing requirement for air travelers entering the country

Effective June 12 at midnight, travelers to the US will no longer have to show proof of negative Covid-19 test in order to enter the country!!!

As of March 8th, all travelers going to Israel are required (mandatory) to purchase travel health insurance that covers the costs of medical treatment of COVID-19 (standard in most travel insurance plans).

NEW TRAVEL RULES EFFECTIVE MONDAY 06 DEC 2021

With ongoing uncertainty regarding the omicron COVID-19 variant, the Biden Administration yesterday released new guidelines for inbound travelers to the U.S., including U.S. citizens. This comes on the heels of a travel ban from eight countries in southern Africa put in place last week. Below are the main elements of the new policy, which will be effective Monday, December 6, 2021.

U.S. Citizens Required to Test Within One Day of Travel

Effective December 6, all U.S. citizens, regardless of vaccination status, will need to show proof of a negative COVID test taken within 1 day of travel, or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 in the past 90 days, before they board their flight. Previously, all vaccinated travelers were required to produce a negative viral test result within three days of travel to the United States, and unvaccinated U.S. citizens to show negative test taken within one day of departure. The test can be either an antigen test or a nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT) such as a PCR test.

NEW TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS TO BE IMPLEMENTED - check before you return to the USA...

Amid concerns about the omicron variant of Covid-19, the CDC plans to tighten its testing requirement for arriving international travelers.

The CDC will require fully vaccinated travelers to produce a negative result from a Covid-19 viral test taken within 24 hours of departure to the U.S. President Joe Biden on Dec. 2 is expected to provide information on the implementation date.

The U.S. currently requires international arrivals to conduct a viral test within three days of departure.

The CDC will continue to recommend that all travelers take a Covid-19 viral test three to five days after arrival.

Working with a travel adviser is a no-brainer.

After the past year and a half, we will never again take smooth traveling for granted. When the pandemic struck, it stopped travel in its tracks. Flights were canceled. People were stranded. Money was lost. But those who fared the best had an advocate in their corner: their travel adviser.

Here are a few thoughts and insights from my trip:

1. You CAN travel safely. Just be careful and, most importantly, be respectful of others.
2. Traveling is complicated right now and the rules are changing all the time. So….use a travel advisor!
3. Croatia is an absolutely beautiful country and a wonderful place to visit. If it’s not on your radar, it should be! I’m happy to share what I learned.
4. Clear and Global Entry saved me a ton of time, but more importantly hassle! Highly recommend both if you travel a lot.
5. Be kind.
6. Use a travel advisor - (I may have mentioned that before.) You will save time and $$ and have no regrets!

What a ride!!!!

Dubrovnik’s distinctive orange cable cars speed 2,500 feet (778 meters) in about three minutes, from the lower station just north of the city walls to the top of Mount Srđ. During the ride, you can enjoy flawless views of Dubrovnik’s terracotta rooftops, the coastline of Dalmatia, and archipelagos sprinkled across the Adriatic Sea.

Spectacular views from every vantage point of this charming city.

One of the highlights of Croatia was undoubtably the 14 km bike ride around the Big and Small lakes in Mljet National Park - a little piece of heaven!!!!!!!

Next stop on our island hop!!! Hvar - is the queen of the Dalmatian islands! Yachts fill its harbor in summer. Ferries connect the town with the several Pakleni Islands just offshore. These are home to secluded beaches, such as those around Ždrilca Bay, as well as rocky coves and pine forests. Hula Hula Beach in Hvar and Stipanska Beach on Marinkovac Island are known for their nightlife and lively bars.

Another fabulous day in Croatia that started with a tour of Old Zadar, cruise to Telascica Nature Park including a short hike to Lake Mir and up to the cliffs! We had a quick dip in the sea, watched the sunset, and to top it off, a delicious Captain’s Dinner!
