7 years. Yay us 🎉

I’m getting to the point of marriage where my goal is to lean into what is.

Who i am.. who he is… what this season of life brings… what takes priority... what doesn’t… what we have time for… what falls short… and just really trying to embrace the good.

I’ve had to work really hard to shake this idea of what a marriage is “supposed to” look like, and be grateful for what my marriage is. (that work isn’t done btw…)

We might be in a season with a few more fist bumps than make out sessions, but he is my person, this is our marriage, and we’ve got a beautiful life we are building together.

Happy 7 years down, until you meet your maker to go (don’t try me. 😉)

My time in the lower Lolebezi along the stunning Zambezi River has been nothing short of magical. From breathtaking sunrises to peaceful afternoons on the water, this place is pure wilderness bliss.

The beauty of the Zambezi is hard to put into words, but here’s a glimpse of the moments that made this experience unforgettable:

1️⃣ Time on the river was my favorite. It allows you to soak in the serenity of this incredible place. 💛

2️⃣ + 3️⃣ Spending time by the water still means spotting incredible wildlife. Whether it’s elephants wading through the shallows or hippos popping up for air, the Zambezi is teeming with life. 🐘

4️⃣ I live for fancy safari lodging. Lolebezi takes “safari chic” to the next level. Here’s a peek at my luxury tent with a view I could wake up to every day. 🛖✨

5️⃣ There’s nothing quite like sunrises + sunsets here—the river stretching out into the horizon, framed by the African bush is truly incredible. 🌅

The Zambezi has a way of slowing you down, reconnecting you with nature, and making you appreciate the simple, beautiful moments.

I can’t wait to share more of these adventures with my clients—this is the kind of magic that only an authentic safari in Zambia can deliver.

This year I traded trick-or-treating for safari sunsets, but before I left we had some fun dressing up as a family. File this under “things you do for your kids”, because choosing to be a blonde, blue-eyed princess was actually an easy yes for my favorite two plumbers.

Imagine spending an unforgettable month discovering the enchanting corners of Portugal with your favorite people in the world. 🇵🇹✨

And to top it off, I also get beautiful family photos of all of us, WITH COLE SMILING?!!! I won the damn lottery with this trip.

From the sun-kissed beaches of the Algarve to the historic streets of Lisbon, every moment was a treasure, wrapped in laughter and shared with love.

Whether it was indulging in the rich flavors of Portuguese cuisine, beach-hopping around the coast, or exploring ancient castles, we created memories that will warm our hearts for a lifetime.

This trip was a beautiful reminder of how travel can truly bring families closer together, because this is hands down what it did for us.

Goodbye Lisbon... Hello Porto + Douro Valley!

I slipped up north while my family headed south and have embarked on this part of my journey to rediscover the joys of silence, uninterrupted beauty, and maybe, just maybe, sleeping in!

We had such a good time exploring Lisbon, but I’m not going to lie, I was really looking forward to the charm of Porto, and the beauty of the Douro Valley... and not needing to find chicken nuggets on any menu.

(we’ve got an entire month of 24/7 together... please don’t question my decision-making! And check the last slide for receipts that they are living their best lives. I know exactly what I’m doing 😉)

I’m off to Peru to live my best alpaca-filled, ceviche-eating, adventure-chasing life! 🦙🍸 But first, let’s talk about how to kick off a trip the right way... If I’m being honest, one of the reasons I squeezed this trip in with an already full second half of the year travel calendar, is because I realized there was a nonstop flight from LAX with lie-flat seats. Even though Peru is only a 2 hour time difference, it is over 8 hours of flying. (Bonus: It’s a nonstop from LAX to Lima). Whenever possible, my preference is to arrive refreshed and ready to dive into the destination with the same luxury and ease I started with. While I’m out here exploring, bonding with my team, and laying eyes on one of the 7 wonders of the world , you can still reach out for any travel needs. I’ll get back to you as soon as I’m back and done with my pisco sour research.
