1000 Treks is a community of travel lovers, started by a group of friends who share a passion for travelling.
Most likely you have experienced this before. You wanted to travel somewhere. Maybe you already knew where you wanted to go; you did some research, figured out the best time to go, and secured your vacation time in order to go. But then you had nobody to go with or something came up and your friends who were going to go with you ended up canceling. Sometimes you do go with friends or family but realize that they don’t want to do the same things you do. You might the adventurous type and they might not. Or sometimes you simply like to do different activities than your friends and family.
Because we’ve all been there and because we have seen how powerful it is to share our travelling experiences alongside similar-minded people, we started 1000 Treks to introduce anybody to a group of friends and traveling companions who can share amazing experiences with one another.
1000 Treks organizes travel groups of 10 to 16 people to see some of the most amazing places in the world. Come on your own, with friends, or with your partner.
Our aim is to make sure that every group finishes their trip feeling like they’ve known each other for years. Many lifetime friendships (and relationships!) have started on our trips and we often get together after we come back.
We’re more than a travel group--we are your lifetime travel friends!
Unique and Super Inclusive Itineraries
Whatever else 1000 Treks stands for, we’re proud to say this: Our itineraries are unique, super inclusive, and absolutely unmatched. You will not find itineraries like ours anywhere else. We spare no effort to do everything that is fun and unique about the places we visit.
We do those things you see on the internet and say "I would love to do that!” You know those pictures of breathtaking, unique places that you didn’t even know existed? We go to those places! You know those videos of those unique activities that you watch and say “I wish I could do that!”? We do those things! In fact our trips are often designed around visiting those unique places and doing those amazing activities.
Think not only hiking the Inca Trail and visiting Machu Picchu in Peru, but also staying at the Skylodge, a hotel in which your room is a glass capsule on the side of a cliff. When we go to China, we don't just go to Beijing and Shanghai and the other touristy places. We also go to Mt. Huashan and do the scariest hike in the world!
We spare nothing. We travel to experience everything a place has to offer. We do the touristy things, but that’s not all we do. We do everything.
No Extra Charges
Lots of trip organizers charge solo travelers a supplement for people going alone. With 1000 Treks you won’t pay extra.
We pair two solo travelers of the same gender so that they can share rooms, make friends, and not worry about paying extra just for choosing to travel alone.
Of course, we always offer single supplements for people who want their own rooms but unlike other companies, we leave that choice to you.
Guaranteed Departures
If you book a trip, you’re going. Guaranteed.
Most companies sign people up for trips, and then cancel the trip if it doesn’t meet a minimum number of sign-ups. At 1000 Treks we will never cancel a trip due to low attendance. If you sign up, start planning because we’re going!
Our Costs
1000 Treks believes in great value. We aren’t a “budget travel” company. We take care of our travelers. We provide the highest possible standards of safety, quality and comfort.
You’ve heard the horror stories. A traveler signs up with a company offering incredibly low rates. The traveler comes home having spent their time in substandard accommodations, eating cheap meals, and sometimes even having feared for their safety.
Bear this in mind when comparing 1000 Treks with other companies. It’s very unlikely that a company will offer the same standards of quality as us, even at the same prices. We will always strive to match competitive prices and good value with high quality, comfort and safety.
So come see the world with us!

About the group leaders
Eduardo Dias
As a personal trainer, coach-rated skydiver, Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) certified master scuba diver, rock climber and an outdoorsman highly trained in survival, Brazilian born Eduardo has been an adventurer his whole life.
Eduardo has led groups on all sorts of adventurous experiences from whitewater rafting and local camping trips to scuba diving with great white sharks and climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.
For Mt. Kilimanjaro, he personally trained 25 people who successfully reached the summit.
Eduardo’s trips tend to be more adventurous and might take you off-the-beaten-path and a little beyond your current “adventure zone”.
With Eduardo, you’ll relax on the beaches of Costa Rica but also go whitewater rafting and climbing a volcano; you’ll see the Great Wall of China but also hiking Mt. Huashan, the scariest hike in the world; you’ll see Machu Picchu in Peru but also stay at the Skylodge, where your room is a glass capsule hanging on the side of a cliff.
Whether you’re an avid adventurer or a beginner who wants to have amazing experiences but are unsure where to safely begin, you’ll love Eduardo’s trips.
You will have the time of your life, meet lifelong friends and come back bragging about the adventurous things you did on your last trip.
