A sad fate for an old girl. I loved watching Love Boat!

Pacific Princess, which gained international fame as the setting for the popular TV show The Love Boat in the 1970s and 1980s. Built in 1971, the ship initially sailed as Sea Venture before being acquired by Princess Cruises and renamed. It became an iconic symbol of the cruise industry thanks to its portrayal on television.

After being retired from service in 2002, the ship changed ownership multiple times and was eventually operated by Quail Cruises. In its later years, the ship was decommissioned and sent to Turkey in 2013 for dismantling.
