We are busy here on the homestead with such trivialities as keeping our internet and electricity on. I gotta be real, this is the day-to-day of trying to live a different way. I believe that we will continue to grow in financial abundance as we work hard and stay true to who we are and the life we want to create. We have every other kind of abundance that I can imagine.

Since every dollar spent is a vote for what one values, we tried to get a little creative with the Ostara-Easter gifts for our kids. We used mason jars, cut up local newspaper and we got our candy from Trader Joe's instead of all the standard, commercialized high-fructose-corn-syrup faire. I think they turned out quite lovely with all their spring-y colors.

Simple Abundance ~ A Three Egg Day

Our hens — Mary, Martha & Magdalena — survived our harsh winter and are thriving in these longer days and warmer temps. We are in the process of building them a large coop. Right now, they have a small coop and free range in our yard during the day. This makes having a garden a little challenging since they like to graze on the plants, lettuce in particular, as we learned last year!
