Rolling With BIG E. On The Bluegrass Tour!

Overnight Trip to Paducah, KY - March 16 and 17, 2018

Join us as we travel to Paducah, KY for VIP tour of The National Quilt Museum (NQM). We will depart Louisville, KY on March 16, 2018, 9:30 AM. Stop for lunch (on your own). At 1:00 PM we will break into groups; group 2 will visit Hotel Metropolitan - Ms. Maggies Memories, Lloyd Tilghman House, and Civil War Museum. Group 1 will attend the VIP Creative Stitch tour at NQM and make your own custom quilt block creation and mat-framed. 3:00 PM, groups will switch. 5:00 PM, hotel check-in. 6:30 PM, dinner at River Discovery Center (dinner and exhibits are included). Return to hotel by 9:15 PM.

Day 2: Breakfast 7:00 - 8:15 AM. 8:30 AM, check-out and load bus. 9:00 AM Tour of Paducah. 10:00 AM, Whitehaven Welcome Center. 11:00 AM, lunch (on your own) and shopping (free time) in Historic Downtown. 1:00 PM, Paducah Distilled Spirits (The Moonshine Company).

The total price per person: $260 single, $206 double occupancy, $192 triple, $183 quad. The fee covers hotel accommodations, personal guide, admission to all paid attractions, and round trip transportation. We will return to Louisville at 6:45 PM on March 17th. What makes a good driver?

Hello it's BIG E. With the tip of the day. Good driver's are hard to come by, if you are blessed to have one take care of them. As a group try to tip at less a dollar on a motor coach that will add up to $55.00 for short trips. Longer trips could range from $2-$5 a person. This will make the driver ask for all of your runs and take good care of you. It hurts a driver to spend time with a group, only to get a half of a goodnight as the group runs out the door. I know that when I sit down at a nice restaurant , I tip the waiter the person that doesn't even cook my food. So I started taking my drivers because I understand that my life is actually in their hands.

Another great thing you can do as the head of the trip is, make your food reservations at restaurant that will comp driver's food. If your group drops over $200.00 at one sitting which by the way is about $3.64 a person. The restaurant can afford to feed the driver. If they say no tell them you will dine at another restaurant, and see if that moves them. Every good driver loves a group that takes care of them.
