The most perfect moment captured last night at deep dusk on the back terrace adjacent to the stone cabin at Rockdale - this is one of the large walnut trees behind the house aglow in the misty sky. I’m overwhelmed with the beauty displayed in this image.

Exciting News: look who may be coming to Rockdale...this is 'Pappy' who was born at Blackacre about 3 weeks ago who we are looking at adopting! Shown here is me with Pappy and granddaughter Edie. For guests who stay at the cabin, you have access to a few miles of trails that connect Rockdale to Blackacre State Nature Preserve....just step out the back door!

The current owners are only the property’s fourth owners. and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in the 1980s.
